I've replaced my two old 500GB Hitachi drives with two 1TB WD black (in RAID 0) and was surprised to get such a high number in HD Tune. I'm happy with the numbers but I was wondering if they are real. I'm using a X58 chip set that only supports SATA II 3gbit/sec. Here is the screnshot...
This is my first time setting up RAID. I have two 300 GB Maxtor drive in RAID 0. Everything went well with the RAID setup and Windows XP install. However, when I try install the Nvidia 5.11 NF3 motherboard drivers Windows gets corrupted (reboots and locks up).
Anything suggestions?
My 3200+ winchester get as high as 52C under load using the stock cooler. I expect this temperature to go even higher when the hot weather arrives here in Texas.
Any advice on a good cooler (below $50) that will be easy to install.

I have 2 licensed Windows XP CDs, one has no SP and the other has SP2. Can I just use the second CD to install and then use the CD key from the first CD or do I still need to slipstream the first CD?

I have a 300GB Maxtor SATA drive on my Epox 9NDA3J (NF3). It will shows in the bios as 300GB but Windows XP install CD only sees it as a 137GB. I have SP2 in a separate CD. Formatting the Drive with MaxBlast software did not help.
