    3x19" eyefinity vs single 24"

I have 3 x 19" LCDs in Eyefinity setup and I have to say it is definitely worth it! I think people who say that it is potentially too small compared to newer 3 x 16:9 widescreen setups haven't actually seen a 3 x 5:4 aspect ratio LCDs in person. In fact, comparing my 19" LCD to my new 24"...

    6850 board length [SOLVED]

Don't forget to account for the extra length required for the 6-pin PCI-E power connector at the end of most boards. According to many reviews, if it is using the 6850 reference PCB then it will be 9". But most of the cards coming out are using non-reference PCB's like the Sapphire or...

    ASRock 775Dual-VSTA

Yes, I ran StressPrime 2004 ORTHOS for 24 hours with no errors. Completely stable. As far as data corruption is concerned, as long as your system is tested stable and you're keeping your PCI bus close to 33.33MHz, you shouldn't have any problems. That's why people test their systems with...

NEC 1970GX LCD gaming 8ms with Opticlear!!

Anybody out there in the forums that owns a NEC LCD1970GX? Post your comments and/or experiences with the monitor... Nobody knows the answer to my question about the possibility of having 8-bit TN + Film panels?

NEC 1970GX LCD gaming 8ms with Opticlear!!

Anybody know why NEC lists the LCD1970GX panel as having 16.77 million colors? Is this actually true? Anyways...I went to my local Futureshop to check out this monitor first hand and I sure was impressed... The picture quality looked so much better compared to other 19" LCD...

NEC 1970GX LCD gaming 8ms with Opticlear!!

I just looked at the Datasheet and Manual for this monitor and NEC lists that the panel can display 16.77 million colors... I thought that all TN + Film panels were 6-bit color (16.2 million with dithering). Is it possible to have a 8-bit TN + Film panel?

    x800 Pro softmod into XT

I've come across that thread before... From what I understand, the person who is claiming failures is saying that the X800 Pro VIVO cards he tested cannot fully mod to X800 XT PE cards...meaning that not all his cards can attain the default 520c/560m speeds. He never said that his cards were...

    x800 Pro softmod into XT

It is accurate from what I've read from those threads... So far, all X800 Pro VIVO cards have successfully been flashed. Brands such as Club3D, PowerColor, Sapphire, and HIS have been tested. This may not be the case in the future when the supply of these X800 Pro VIVO cards with 1.6ns memory...

    x800 Pro softmod into XT

The success rate is 100% for unlocking the 4 disabled pipelines. However, the actual core and memory speeds each card is able to attain is variable. Some people have attained X800 XT PE core/memory speeds (520/560) or greater. Almost everybody who have unlocked their pipelines have achieved at...

    NEC AccuSync LCD7V Any Good?

Anybody have this LCD display? I believe this is a new display from NEC. It is significantly cheaper than the 1760V or 1760NX also from NEC. How would it compare to the 1760 series? All of them have 16ms response times. Would the picture quality be almost the same? How different would the...

    Any AT'ers with the XP 1700+/1800+ T-Bred B's yet?

Heh...not bad. :) Although...we need more stats! You should disclose the full CPU codes for your chips and their temperatures...maybe we can spot a trend or something. I know you might not have all the information, but maybe you could do it for your last couple of DLT3C CPUs you've tested...:D

Shimmishim, Looks like your CPU likes the same voltages as mine...:) You know, you should post a summary with all the 1700+ CPU's you've tested thus far with their overclocks, voltages, and temperatures if you have them written somewhere. It would be a really good reference...:)

gplracer, Of course a higher FSB would be faster, as long as you have the memory to handle the high FSB speed synchronously... Looking good there Shimmishim! What kind of cooling you using on it right now?

Thanks Assimilator1...:) I think it might make it to 2.5GHz...maybe I'll do some more testing when the A/C is on. It would probably clock higher if I used a 92mm Vantec Tornado fan, but I probably couldn't stand the noise. 119CFM sure sounds nice...but 56dBA doesn't...;) Does anybody actually...

I got mine running at 2.3GHz (11.5x200) so far on 1.675V. I do notice that these 1.5V chips tend to run hotter than their 1.6V counterparts. That's probably why going over 1.85V increases their heat output dramatically. Here are the codes: AXDA1700DLT3C JIUHB0308

Old HSF for T-birds good enough for T-breds?

Should be good enough. May not let you overclock to the limit of your processor compared to a high end heatsink like a SLK-800. Thoroughbred cores run much cooler than the Thunderbird core as they are 0.13 micron and use lower voltages.

Anybody know how to overclock RAM?

You can overclock the RAM by decreasing the memory timings and reducing the CAS latency. You can also run your RAM at higher FSB speeds. For example, some people run their PC133 memory at 150MHz FSB. So basically, if you reduce the numbers in your BIOS for memory timings you'll increase it's...

    If you run a CUSL2-C w/ a PIII 700 @ 933, what's yer voltage?

I also have a PIII 700E along with an Asus CUSL2. I usually run it at 966MHz at 1.85V. When at 933MHz, it would require 1.75V for complete stability. It?s quite a nice setup, plus it overclocked quite well. Too bad the CUSL2 won't be able to use the new Tualatin processors...

    Overclocking a K6-2

The 3.5 X 83MHz setting looks to be the best. Since your K6-2 was running at such a low bus speed, you'd want to increase that as high as possible so that the cache on the motherboard would run faster. It's only 10MHz less in the CPU clock, but the increase in FSB speed more than makes up for...
