    Asus p8h67 m-pro - What updates?

Hi, just got a b3 version of the asus p8h67 m pro motherboard. When I get around to doing my build on monday, what updates will I need to download and install? The web product page has lots of downloads available when using windows 7 x64, but as I'm on dial up (oh, the shame) at home, I'll have...

    I7 2600 + Stock thermals

Ayone running this chip with a stock heatsink and fan set-up, using only the intel supplied factory fitted thermal compound? ie, no added thermal paste. How has the experience been, thus far? Have to do my build soon, and I'm not looking forward to scraping stuff off and then applying grease...

    Pick a case

I could live with the case, but what about the psu. Did your build use the included power supply?

    Pick a case

I've got my i7 2600 and Asus h67 board being delivered tomorrow, but no luck finding the case I wanted. The Gigabyte luxo m1004 mid tower isn't in stock with the distibutor, and as there's a month waiting time, I'm ruling it out. I was ready to go with an Antec neo eco 550w 80% certified psu...

    Sandybridge build dilemna

Sounds good, thanks for the help. Not sure I'd fit a big cooler in the small case anyway :) Will probably get the Luxo m1004 instead of the teeny GZ-M3, as a bit of future proofing, but as I've got to wait for the motherboards to be back in stock, I'll no doubt change my mind again for the 20th...

    Sandybridge build dilemna

I appreciate the help, thanks. Two people have posted that about the motherboard. Maybe I should have made it clearer, but yep, I got that h67 thing covered. I get the point about the 2500 being a good chip, and was almost sold on it until I read some music specific results comparing it with...

    Sandybridge build dilemna

I'm wanting to build a Sandybridge system, and after alot of googling and research, still find myself torn over which case and chipset motherboard. I could do with some input from real people with actual hands on experience, rather than rely on sales blurb and specs. I'm in NZ and I'm trying...

Sandybridge 2500, 2600 and Onboard graphics

Thanks for that info. I think I'll just go native and stick with the chip vid, if that's the case. Using the benchmarks for guide purposes and rule of thumb, even losing 10% cpu power would still get me well over an 17 975. That should be plenty enough for my needs.

Sandybridge 2500, 2600 and Onboard graphics

Firstly, thanks for the replies and assistance. I'm still 50/50 on what I should do. I know adding a vid card will give me better graphics than the integrated gpu. As I'm not gaming or watching hd movies, just net and music app software, I'm ok with integrated. What I don't know, is how much...

Sandybridge 2500, 2600 and Onboard graphics

Hi, first time poster, so apologies if this has been covered. I want to run either the i52500 or i72600 with an asus h67pro board. My question, does using the onboard graphics affect cpu performance? And if so, how? Will I lose much, if any, processor power by not having a discreet card...
