***Official Unigine Heaven 4.0 benchmark scores! Thread***

Is this score a little low for a 7950 at 1100 core clock and 1475 memory clock with +20% PowerTune? It seems like a 7950 at these clocks should be scoring slightly higher. Is the Athlon a bottleneck here?

PC games hitching and memory errors.

I just tried switching both the motherboard and the memory. I haven't noticed any improvement, unfortunately.

PC games hitching and memory errors.

About a week ago, I overclocked my CPU moderately. I raised the clock speed from the default of 200 MHZ to 210 MHZ. Shortly after, I noticed strange symptoms in games. Despite getting more than 60 FPS in games like Mirror's Edge and Portal, nearly every game I've tested has had brief lapses...

Does anyone know what could be causing these weird artifacts?

I'm on the second replacement now. This time, I bought a new power supply and motherboard. The artifacts aren't as terrible as usual, but shadows constantly flicker. Also, the 3.3 volt rail is listed at 1.90 volts on the motherboard BIOS. The highest GPU temperature I've seen is 72 degrees...

Does anyone know what could be causing these weird artifacts?

Sorry. I've used another cable (VGA), so I don't think that's the case.

Does anyone know what could be causing these weird artifacts?

I don't have a multimeter, but the voltages listed in the BIOS and CPUID HWMonitor seem well within the safe operating range for +3.3V, +12V, and +5V. edit: I should probably also mention that when my previous GPU was dying, I would frequently get BSODs with divide by zero and double fault...

Does anyone know what could be causing these weird artifacts?

Yeah, the fan is working properly. And I think the card was somewhere in the 40s (celsius) at idle.

Does anyone know what could be causing these weird artifacts?

No, the monitor is connected with a DVI cable. I've tried using another monitor, but no video displays when the PCI Express GPU (a 5750) is connected. Also, to clarify what I said earlier, there didn't initially seem to be any artifacts when I first used the replacement graphics card, but...

Does anyone know what could be causing these weird artifacts?

I just installed the repaired graphics card, and there are no improvements. It might also be worth noting that some icons on the desktop are noticeably more blurrier than others. Also, the voltages listed in my motherboard's BIOS hardware monitor seem normal, so I don't think the power supply is...

Does anyone know what could be causing these weird artifacts?

Yeah, I've done that. I completely formatted the hard drive (after saving important files to a flash drive), then reinstalled. For the most part, I feel like I could safely rule out driver issues.

Does anyone know what could be causing these weird artifacts?

I actually meant to ask if there's any way to troubleshoot without testing a different motherboard, RAM, power supply, etc. I can't really afford to buy an entirely new computer, so I need to know which part is defective before purchasing replacements. Has anyone here seen anything similar to...

Does anyone know what could be causing these weird artifacts?

No, but how would that help? Is there any way to troubleshoot a problem like this without buying new hardware?

Does anyone know what could be causing these weird artifacts?

I've been having some weird texture problems with my XFX 4770. I was recently trying to create a custom fan speed profile in ATI Tray Tools, but I didn't click the check box that confirms I want to save the fan settings to the overclocking profile. Shortly after, I started to notice that...

New computer crashed, now won't load BIOS

I followed the instructions here from MSI support for flashing BIOS with a USB flash drive: http://us.msi.com/support/images/BIOS_FD.pdf The computer recognized the BIOS file, but went to a blank screen immediately afterward.

New computer crashed, now won't load BIOS

The USB flash drive is using the FAT file system. Is there any way to change the file system to FAT32?

New computer crashed, now won't load BIOS

While browsing the internet yesterday, my computer suddenly displayed a blue screen that said that it was shutting down to prevent damage, or something along those lines. Since then, I haven't been able to access the BIOS. The error code was initially 4 beeps, which should signify a system timer...

New computer build won't load BIOS

I removed the graphics card, additional RAM, hard drive, DVD burner, SATA cables, and PCI express cables, then cleared CMOS, but nothing seems to have changed. The fans still run, but the BIOS doesn't initiate.

New computer build won't load BIOS

Recently, I bought a barebones PC from mwave. The main components were an MSI K9N6PGM2-V2 motherboard with nVidia Geforce 6150 SE integrated graphics, an AMD Athlon II X2 245 CPU with heatsink/fan, a Logisys 480w power supply, a Gigabyte ATX case, and a 2 GB RAM chip. All of these parts were...

    Is there anything I'm missing?

Nevermind the earlier post about RAM not seating properly. I just needed to shift the chips laterally to get the clips to respond. However, now I think I'm having a much worse problem. I started up the computer, and heard no beeps whatsoever. I had replaced the power supply with this 600 w 80+...

    Is there anything I'm missing?

Surprisingly, I'm actually having some trouble installing the RAM. The RAM chip that was included with the barebones kit initially was gripped tightly by the clips, but after removing it once or twice, the clips no longer seemed to snap shut. Also, the supplementary RAM I ordered, despite being...

    Is there anything I'm missing?

The included 80 mm fan is installed at the back of the case. Do you think adding a single 120 mm fan on one of the sides would reduce the heat to a safe level?

    Is there anything I'm missing?

Since I've never assembled a computer before, I thought it would be unwise to start from scratch. So I purchased a barebones system from Mwave, along with additional components to boost its graphical output. MWAVE GZA micro ATX Barebone system - MSI K9N6PGM2-V2 nVidia 6150 chipset motherboard /...
