I also went the RMA route with OCZ and got the new drive in 2 days. Sent the old one back and was credited back to my account. New drive seems to be working fine (but then again so was the old one, after I reformatted everything). Used paragon backup to easily create the image and now I'm set...
I never did get any BSOD but did have maybe 2-3 random restarts. However it was always recongnized by the computer right after restart, no power down necessary.
I guess re-installing Windows 7 on this SSD is bad news waiting to happen?
Do you know if it's easier/faster to get a replacement...
I did reset my BIOS to default, still same problem. I changed the boot up order (to SSD) and still same error. It does boot with the DVD with my windows 7 in there.
I actually read that thread last night when this problem first surfaced for me. I'm at a loss to why this SSD would even be...
Update: I took out my OCZ SSD and loaded it up on another computer - it can read the contents fine. However I tried to boot it on a 3rd computer and it gave me the same error message...
I'm getting this error with my computer. The computer's been fine (using for about 1 month) with no hiccups. My main boot drive is the OCZ SSD - I believe the problem is with that drive.
I have the following:
ASUS M4A89GTD Pro / USB 3.0
AMD Phenom II X6 1075T Thuban 3.0GHz
OCZ Vertex 2...

If you're not in sales already... you may want to try it. Thanks for hearing out what I really wanted to do. Although everyone else was trying to steer me in the right direction (thanks for that too, always good to save $$$)... I'm ready to do my first build.
Here's what I've purchased so...
Bone thugs yes! old school now & my favorites back then.
That's not a bad idea actually, to upgrade the motherboard & case. But I'm going to sell my current computer after I build this new one... Plus I wanted an upgrade. I probably don't need the 6 cores at all... But when I do this right I...
The slow downs are due to multitasking and moving files around on the hard drives / constant downloading / streaming to other sources. I use VLC to play WMV 1080p files on my computer. WD Live TV player is what I stream to. I'll be watching and streaming at the same time and if I want to edit...
Hi Everyone - hopefully you're having a great Thanksgiving so far.
I've looked over a few of the build articles here and the information is a little overwhelming. Just didn't want to make a wrong choice or a poor choice in my components. I'm looking for help on my first time building my...
