    3 UltraSharp™ 2001FP good for eyefinity setup?

I hope the OP is aware the 2001FP only has 400:1 contrast ratio and 16ms response time, It's an old model.. originally released in 2003 (it was my first LCD purchase). LCD picture quality has come a long way since then.

    [Retired] The LCD Thread

Newegg's description might be misleading, My 2333T doesn't have a glossy screen its the bezel itself that is a glossy black. I have a PX2370(TN) and 2333T side by side, they both seem to share very similar matte type screens, the biggest difference I notice PQ wise is the 2333T has much better...

    Good IPS/PVA Monitor under $300

I can only speak for the 2333T, If you value good black levels like me then you'll love this monitor (black level measures 0.04 cd/m2!) It is great for watching movies & surfing the web. Mine came with 0 dead pixels and no backlight bleed. The only downside is it's probably the slowest of the 3...

Zotac - GTX 460 SLI, up in smoke!

Yea I find this part really bizarre, If I smelled burning I would've had the case cover off and inspected everything. And maybe its just my case but I have to remove the side panel to change the PSU anyhow ... The case is like 4 years old tho maybe things have changed.

    LED Monitors

Funny you say that I have a fast TN panel (PX2370) and a slower PVA (2333T) and lately ive been gaming on the PVA.. It's just a nicer monitor to look at with its deep black levels and high contrast ratio. I can handle a little motion blur, The input lag is very low so that's not an issue. It'...

    PVA Monitor vs. HDTV

The LG is probably running in Vivid mode which may look bright & colorful but its actually very inaccurate. LG manuals (at least newer ones) actually mention vivid mode being used in a retail store environment to maximize sharpness / color / contrast. In reality its also shortening the lifespan...

Why don't all monitors come factory color calibrated?

Ya I wish more companies would address this color issue between models.. I have a TN based Samsung PX2370 and it was tested under 2.3 avg. DeltaE from the factory in various reviews, It's puts our older Samsung 2232BW+ to shame in comparison (also TN). Then I have a Samsung 2333T (PVA panel)...

6 bit vs 8 bit LCDs

Why is there no throttling on my GTX 590 when idle?

Neither of my Samsungs have 1:1 pixel mapping (PX2370 & 2333T) they have Wide or Auto screensize options which is just for aspect ratios. I could of swore you could enable 1:1 pixel mapping in Nvidia drivers somewhere but cant seem to find it.

Just how over rated is response time?

It's really difficult to cause permanent burn in on Plasma's these days so occasional browsing isnt going to be an issue. Gaming on a Plasma is the best gaming experience ive had to date and im coming from a Sony 34XBR960 CRT, But you still have to be careful on which model you buy as some exhibit frequent (but temporary) image retention more than others. Ive read the 2011 Panasonic models are great for gaming...

I received my 2333T today and have it setup next to my PX2370 (TN panel), the motion isnt as smooth while gaming vs PX2370 but I knew this before ordering, Overall its still not as bad as I imagined and the picture quality is excellent, there's no black crush and white saturation is good, it...

Ive definitely had my eye on this monitor It would be nice to own a PC LCD that actually has deep black levels for once. I may have to run it as a secondary if ghosting is a big issue w/ gaming but im still interested in seeing how it compares overall to my current PX2370 LED TN based monitor.

Dual CRT problems with Sapphire 6970

For some people its a CRT's performance / lack of motion blur & input lag + deep black levels that keep them away from LCD. I recently had to enter LCD land due to my FW900 CRT dying on me, Im impressed with this PX2370 overall but for gaming it cant compete with the FW900.
