So, here's the story. I'm on a Windows XP machine (soon to be 7) and was trying to get all my data together for the migration.
I've got one primary hard drive that mounts into two partitions. One partition for system stuff, one for pure media (music, saved images, etc.)
I found an hdd...
I've been through a LOT of high end chairs over the past few years.
The Aeron is pretty good but not great, IMHO.
I'd say the best 'chairs' are pretty neck and neck between the Herman Miller Embody and the Humanscale Freedom. Either is an excellent choice especially if you are over 6 feet...
Not too often these days. I used to work 2nd shift and always ALWAYS brought a couple of cans in the shower to kick off the pregaming on nights I was going out.
In a word: sure.
Anything's possible. In market terms, 100k is...not a lot money. If you're really that interested, peel $100 (yes, one hundred) dollars off of your roll and try to turn it into $1,000 shorting stock. Or if you're ballsy try for the 1k into 100k challenge.
You'll find...
I've had one but sold it.
Started with a standard desk and a Staples office chair but had back problems. Switched to standing but had foot problems. Then I switched to the treadmill desk.
I eventually resold it for numerous reasons. On the one hand it is fairly comfortable to walk while...
If you're looking to use classic hardware with a modern tv, you're going to need a framemeister (or XRGB 3) or some other kind of signal converter.
Pricey, but worth it IMO especially if you play retro games a lot.
Funny thing, perspective. No wonder so many answered 'me' :D
I'll chime in with my tale. I'm from a working class family but wound up with a full boat to a Forbes top 5 prep school (harder to get than you might think). I had another full ride lined up for University (a good one;)) but lost...
How long has it been since you've had to answer this question :)
Seriously, I have been importing a TON of DVD's lately and I'd like to start ripping them so I can watch them on the go (and probably on my big TV as well). Can anyone please recommend some free software for this?
I'm on XP...
The good old days!
Crazy how things have changed since then. Triple monitor setups are fairly common now and you'll see plenty of those loaded with as much (or more) gear than trygve has in that shot. Would be rad to see an updated setup of your shot trygve!
Fact of the matter is, international shipping is ass right now. Impossible to even ballpark a figure without knowing what prefecture she's going to.
Try Yamato Transport. I see them advertising on TVJapan all the time.
Good luck, bitch.
edit: for the record I'm not doing this to help you...

Creeping up on thirty, but not too happy about my current situation. Could easily keep sailing on my current career/investment track but I really hate my job. Considering raiding .5 of those savings to return to school and switch my life up.
I looked into this very seriously for quite some time...as if that means anything. Even spent a few nights living in one to check it out. Shipping container homes are a nice idea in theory but they have quite a few drawbacks as previously mentioned.
What you're really in love with are three...
Easy.
While the police were negotiating with bunkerbrah, they pooped down the ventilation tube. The caca got all over his face and blinded him, allowing them to break down the door and blow him away.
Thank you, flaming hot cheetos. Thank you so much.
Fuckin amazing first post.
Welcome to ATOT!
The nice ones are few and far between. Nothing wrong with living in a trailer parked on it's own parcel of land; it basically becomes much like any other structure but with wheels.
Problem with the parks? In the non-retirement parks it's...
I get the joke but remember most of those fuckers live out of state and commute in a few months out of the year.
Anyways if the point of this thread was to make me feel bad, it worked.
There's a lot of truth in this. I'm broke myself, but I know plenty of people with money. It's pretty...
So basically you're looking to build a rentable structure and start turning a profit on this land? The structure you're describing will, almost certainly, be viewed as a boarding house in the state's eyes. Sounds a bit more like a geodesic trailer park in practicality.
IMO, you'd be better...
