    27'' IPS 3D (120hz) LG Monitor

I know it's a dead thread. Thank Google for that. But just an FYI guys...there is now, unofficially, 120hz ips displays running at 1440p. I have one hooked up to my gtx 680 right now. I have NOT, however, tested it with nvidia 3d vision 2 as of yet. I'll be picking up a kit tomorrow to see...

    SweClockers: Geforce GTX 590 burns @ 772MHz & 1.025V

Sadly, no. I've tried through a few applications that are designed to allow voltage increases but apparently it's been blocked in the new beta driver. At least for those apps. I haven't tried all software options. The voltage adjuster is just completely removed from smart doctor with these...

    SweClockers: Geforce GTX 590 burns @ 772MHz & 1.025V

    1920x1200. Extreme settings. It's a preset configuration. It's build 1.1.0. All tests were dx10.

    SweClockers: Geforce GTX 590 burns @ 772MHz & 1.025V

Couldn't wait. Updated to the new beta drivers. Did the standard +10% OC on it. And got 22455 points. Which means the new drivers, with +10% OC, provide a 4% increase over the driver's Asus gives you which allows for a voltage increase. Basically, upgrading to the new drivers is like a...

    SweClockers: Geforce GTX 590 burns @ 772MHz & 1.025V

Good call, Anand. The new "safe" driver's totally buther OC'ing. I did some tests and this is what I came back with on gpu points with 3dmark vantage. It's a dx10 one. Not sure if there's a newer one. But here are the results: 1) Stock = 19909 2) Stock +10% (no voltage upper) = 21602...

    SweClockers: Geforce GTX 590 burns @ 772MHz & 1.025V

Honestly some of them may as well be. I was reading a review of some site who said their card at 700mhz was running 94c so they wouldn't recommend going any higher. Lol. Honestly...there's no excuse for that. -_-

    SweClockers: Geforce GTX 590 burns @ 772MHz & 1.025V

Out of curiosity, what time are you guys getting when running this: http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/Performance/Preschool/Default.html Seems off-topic but as it uses hardware acceleration in ie9, it's a nice little benchmark, possibly.

    SweClockers: Geforce GTX 590 burns @ 772MHz & 1.025V

Well I have it set to create an alarm event if the gpu temp ever hits 85c, which hasn't happened after a few hours of hardcore gaming. I don't think pushing 1v is all that bad. The main problem is that people don't take cooling into consideration. As some reviews I read stated, the automatic...

    SweClockers: Geforce GTX 590 burns @ 772MHz & 1.025V

I've got 6x 120mm fans and 1x 200mm fan. CPU is watercooled and doesn't heat up the board whatsoever. Motherboard is sitting at 24c. 3 fans in the front pushing air into the system, 1 fan on the side pushing air into the system, and 1 giant fan up top pushing air in, with 2 stacked fans...

    Temps to high?

70's aren't too hot for a 5ghz+ cpu under full load. That's what a stock cpu/fan will hit under full load.

    SweClockers: Geforce GTX 590 burns @ 772MHz & 1.025V

No it initially was when I pushed it to 750 without upping the voltage, using the latest beta 270 drivers from Nvidia. Then I realized in order to allow smart doctor to change the voltage, you have to use Asus's own version of the driver. After that, I pushed it to 1.013v and 854mhz and upped...

    SweClockers: Geforce GTX 590 burns @ 772MHz & 1.025V

I haven't tried. I bought it for the 360. Is it supposed to be a demanding game on the PC?

    SweClockers: Geforce GTX 590 burns @ 772MHz & 1.025V

Yeah and I'm running it with my i2600k OC'd to 5ghz. =D Was 5.2ghz but I like to overclock a bit below the max for extra stability. And also 16gb of 1833mhz memory. And running a Revodrive with 540MBps read time. And despite all this...Crysis one with all graphic card options fully maxed, and...

    SweClockers: Geforce GTX 590 burns @ 772MHz & 1.025V

I don't know why everyone is tripping. I'm running this card at 1.000v, with 808mhz core clock, 1616mhz shader clock, and 4202 mem clock. Stable as a rock. 34c on idle, and 82c on load. Running old stock drivers from Asus website as that is what my card is. I think people are just...

    i7-2600 concern

Trust me on this...don't take the bclk above 100. Or below. Keep it at 100 and only play with the multiplier. 42 multiplier should be attainable with 1.3v If there is no price difference between the chips though, switch it out for the k-series. In th future if you spent $100 on a good cooling...

    Temps to high?

If you use speedstep then heat is not an issue during regular computing so I've been fine with just going with the increased voltage. My personal oc'ing policy is to go as high as you can while keeping the system stable. Then bring it down 5%. That'll account for any anomalies and keep your...

    Temps to high?

I have an h70, at 5.2ghz, 1.45v. With an open side case I am 27 Celsius idle and 61 celsius at full load after half hour. Very stable. Trick is, you have to replace the fans that come with the h50 and h70 kits. The fans they come with are around 25cfm. You can get some 100cfm fans for around...

    2600K @ 5.5Ghz. Super PI 1M in 6.786s

I'm running 5.2ghz on 1.45v. Any more and you'd need to go higher. 1.4 was too low for 5.0. There is no way on earth to pull 5ghz up from 3.4ghz with 1.3 or 1.35v. 1.35 will net you around 4.5ghz. I could push mine higher and keep it stable if i had a better cooling system. Water-cooled CPU...
