Well nordichardware's news is certainly a contradiction of what was being reported as early as August' Intel's SSD Roadmap Leaked - X25-M G3 Confirmed for 2010.
This may explain why there was no information forthcoming at IDF just days ago. Too bad!
Guess, I'll have to wait a little while...
I'm sure there were many here sitting on the edge of their seats to see what happened next with my motherboard melodrama! Rest easy all, gave Intel the kick and installed the Asus P6T SE board and all is well! Temps are in the high 30's and low 40's C.
I was happy with my badaxe2 Intel board...
Placed the case on the desk right next to me with the cover off. The blinking blue light syndrome...this despite having dropped the cpu voltage to 1.0. Temps at idle are ambient 41C and cpu is 64C.
The Desktop Board contains the following two LEDs (see Figure 6) that indicate the
status of the...
S**t, I've done everything else. I guess that just maybe the only solution. I just hope it works!
I see you got a 930 what temp range do you see with yours?
G.
S**t dude. I've done all that! I grabbed a house fan, took off the cover and turned it on full-blast! It helped some, but the ambient temp hovers high as well. It's like 43C. It's cool in my living room too, along the lines of 25C.
Thanks,
G.
Thanks, I've reseated the heatsink numerous times! Initially got really bad numbers with the stock heatsink that came with the cpu, but immediately replace it with the zalman when I saw these scary temps!

I'm no expert but this is my 6th PC that I've assembled in the past 12 years, so I do have an idea of what I'm doing. This is my first stumble, huge stumble that I've experienced. I did however, start the thread by asking whether anyone has had any similar experience with really hot 930's.
G.
Thanks for the input, I just completed installing a new psu and initially thought that it may have solved my problem but no! I've got Firefox, Outlook and IDCC open and the cpu is idling at 77C! What's strange is that all four cores seem busy at all times, much busier than the q6600 that I...
With all due respect richierich1212 with your multiple contributions, even with an aftermarket fan, it's ability to cool the cpu vs Intel's cpu fan isn't that great a difference according to a website review I read. Also, Intel's own fan should be cooling the cpu sufficiently enough to never...
I built this system a couple of weeks ago and through a lot of trial and error have centered the problem on the cpu. At idle the temps have reached greater than 90C with HWmonitor and IDCC! This is at baseline. No OC'ing at all. The Intel fan and aftermarket Zalman fan showed similar temps. In...
I got the slackr q6600 today but, I still have to wait for the Thermaltake cooling fan. I'm wondering whether I should go ahead and install the cpu with the stock cooling fan now?Is it a pain in the a** taking the paste off? Or, should I simply wait until I get the thermaltake fan?
