I have my system 99.9% stable for 24/7 gaming/surfing/multimedia/vent server/word processing/etc
but, it did crash today. I'm not sure which voltage to raise. the CPU dynamic vcore is already 1.39v under load and the QPI/VTT is 1.47v already. I can't run any lower. Should I be messing with...
I was thinking I was going to get a R9 290X until I started reading around, and noticing my CPU will be bottlenecking a 290X, so which R9 is for me? 280X? 270?
I don't think I'm going to need TrueAudio, just mainly interested in maxing out the CPU and MANTLE.
The system is in my sig.
Here's the story:
I made a post this morning. I went and read some other posts. I made another post. I went to sleep.
So this moderator comes on and gives me a warning while I was sleeping. Then, while I was STILL sleeping, he sends me an infraction saying that "I've warned you once, yet you...
the Noctua is the non-SE2 version, and the motherboard has the stock Intel HSF right now. I'm trying to hand-down this Noctua but Noctua's site doesn't have the G41M-combo on their list. I'm hoping someone on the forum will know if it fits .
Like, which chipset is the minimum to play at least a smooth 40fps on medium settings? I know the dell Inspiron line with like Intel X3100 graphics and the like will not work, how about the Toshibas with the AMD 6310?
Please name any chipset models found in laptops that you can think of that...
That means RELIABILITY is #1 consideration. #2 is CPU (so i3 or i5, probably) and system bandwidth. SSD? or not? An intel X-25V is probably fine, or an 80GB X-25M.

I can't even click on Quick Links without it popping up a new window, and then it doesn't even go to Quick Links drop down menu.
In addition to THAT whole rats nest you guys haven't taken care of for the past week or so, if I'm in a thread, it will redirect to some scam site.
I have ru 3...
I spent hours reading HOW TO's for the HTC Aria (AT&T) that didn't work (maybe it was Win7 x64 HP, but whatever...) This method worked in 10 minutes, going carefully. And, I wanted to share it with anyone who might be looking into rooting their HTC...

It's always the weird Admin you've never seen participate or anything before.
You got your wish, but only for one month (at the moment.) I've asked the other Admins to chime in on whether the 1 month punishment was...
You have got be insane to issue an infraction for sarcastically saying someone is cool.... :awe:

Because I see far too many of you morons taking comedy seriously. You shouldn't mix your comedy in with your serious life. Comedy is seriously funny, but what makes it funny is the irony. Get it? Irony? DO you get it yet?? I didn't think so. Try and deduct that one.
And guess what. All the...
equally. But I find reading all the insipid bullshit entertaining and sometimes it makes me laugh. If you post something in here and I don't laugh, you will know you are a complete failure. You will know if I am laughing by the sign from your higher power. The amount of time between then and the...
Everyone is out of stock of all the good DDR3. I've never seen so many "auto-notify" buttons on Newegg. Just trying to get my system build solidified and I was lucky I found some HyperX 2000 MHz C9 for $199 at compusa.com!
Is DDR3 production ramping up soon? What's the prediction regarding...
System in sig is having a problem.
I'm trying to move files over from an External HDD (OXFORD chipset) on the onboard Firewire, to a HDD on the PCH SATA II controller. It keeps hanging even after I reboot. I looked in Event Viewer and found this many times:
I have no idea what is causing this...
I am impressed with the temps, but these Core i3 have issues. (dual on-chip die link is too slow)
I have timings set to 8-8-8-23, 1T, tRC 31 too. Doesn't help.

Hi all,
My girlfriend's father asked me to find a good book to help him learn some of the more semi-complex and productivity enhancing techniques in Adobe Illustrator CS3. He doesn't like video tutorials and the book needs to be in layman's terms, not the official Adobe manual type of verbiage...
My new build doesn't want to download faster than 50k!!!! I ordered an HP NC112T Intel chipset based Gigabit card, but I'd like to return it if I can get this crap ASUS to work. It's the M4A785TD-V EVO.
I don't see anyone else having the same issue, but there are a lot of issues with drop-outs...
Anything to check out when I'm test driving? I can't find any real issues other than the usual Honda air bag recall. If you know of a more reliable, safe ~$10k car with leather seats I'd be interested. Let me know.
Thank you!
I should mention I'd rather not buy a Honda or anything made after...
Some moderator I've never even seen post gave me an infraction for not having my email in my profile. I've been a member here since 2005 and I'm not sure why my profile is hidden... considering the software change I think a little note would have sufficed without giving me an infraction. That is...
I have a WD Black 640GB in an external enclosure. Once in a while (maybe once a month or less), it makes a noise like it's starting up (kind of a scratchy *clank*) when it's on and hasn't been on long enough to power down. It doesn't sound the same as starting up, but similar. I'm guessing it's...

not sure the good/bad of this particular unit, but you can decide. Much cheaper than newegg has it, so I guess it's a deal... Enermax's Revolution85+ PSUs are some of the very best you can buy.
OK, so I'm building a new PC - newegg has everything I want - except SATA-II cables. The problem with their selection is all the negative reviews on any cable with these specs if they even have them. People saying they're cheaply made, etc.
These are the cables I want (all black with latches...

Hi there, enjoying time with your loved ones and eating well? GOOD!
Looking to buy a Gigabyte K8NSNXP-939 momther board. I am in the market for this specific board, and the only other board I would consider is an MSI Neo Platinum, or EPoX 9NDA3+. I have a DFI LANParty NF3 250Gb, but I gotta...
