    AMD Releases Bulldozer Shipment Dates?

Oh my, thanks for pointing that out!! :sneaky: AMD is of course reserving itself the rights to postpone the shipment to Q2 2012 (usual tech delays; from no functional demo on CeBit in March to shipment in June? no, no, no...) :D :D :D

I would add: -motherboards having both SLI as Crossfire. I'm not going to buy a CPU that ties the customer to only one GPU brand; besides being this an unfair market practice (immagine intel supporting only Nvidia GPUs)

One thing is working, another is presenting a power demo PC rig on a new platform; new Bulldozer+new chipset. CeBit: One day AMD was saying that the new Bulldozer could run on current AM3 motherboards; the next day they already changed the story. The second version of the story (if we forget...

At Pcper (pc perspective) they've made an assessment of Bulldozer from all the available data till now. It's clear however, that planned(supposed) and final performance can differ from wonder to under-performing once in the hands. (AMD and Intel both had their fair share of "wonders") It's...

    Dead SSD after a month!

just to think, that one of the main marketing slogans, beside speed, was that SSDs practically never fail (as opposed to known HDD failures). to quote one of the biggest PC magazines: "a SSD has never failed on us". Anyway, the web is buzzing with OCZ failures of the new 25nm drives...

If they managed to live with this executives till now, they could have waited one or two months, till Bulldozer comes out. With a brand new product, a new CPU that replaces Flinstone era CPUs, it would be just a matter of management turnover. I have the feeling they grasped this SandyBridge...

OCZ Vertex 2 with 25nm NAND flash reported slower

As the info go, OCZ ordered a truck load of 25nm NAND and it's sitting on them. The only thing they can do now is make that chips golden. (by frying them in oil). http://www.lorenz-snackworld.de/content/en/01brands/010crunchips/index.php?isPrintable=1&noFlash=1 OCZ's doing is on the verge of...

The price difference 50nm/34nm was such that we were ready to forgive lots of things. No to mention, that the durability was still acceptable. As far as OCZ goes it'S about fair customer practices; they can sell 25nm flash at the price they wish, just write it plainly on the product. The...

We are not going into Intel/AMD battle. We are just worried about Bulldozer. If it does not deliver, we are all going to be in huge problems; Intel is already a monopolist and the prices are going to spiral even further into stratosphere. Not to mention that without stimuli, the tech...

I'm really hardly awaiting few real world tests with the new Bulldozer. What worries me is AMD talking about an 8core as a performance part for desktops; I somehow got the feeling that an 8 or 6 core are being put "against" 4 core SB. Such a situation sounds good only for some "benchmarks"...
