yes you need a dealer license but thankfully i have a friend that owns a dealership and allows me to use his. i picked the mazdaspeed 3 up on friday and managed to get it to start right up! and after i get over this nasty flu progress will start!
Well with all these build threads I guess its that time of the season to build another one! my white WRX is done and gone. and my MKII MR2 is not at a point I can give it the attention and FULL Restoration it deserves. so much like a lot of people here we all just browse Craigslist looking for...
They is me! I built this bad mama with help from a few folks. Took a year to complete we ended up winning organizers choice and a weekend full of props from everyone there it was a big hit and I couldn't. Be happier
only reason i came back into the ATG was to see if the engine was back into the car. and much to my surprise i come back and find not only a broken car again but it already fixed! like Exdeath said stop breaking things like a boss!
Woo another mr2!! And between fuzzy,jlee,JCH13 and myself you have the mr2 brain trust! Any problem you have or any questions please feel free to ask. I miss the atg of last year with build threads and cool projects we needed another infusion! Look forward to seeing the project
i own my own Small shop. and i have people doing this all the time bringing me people. i charge 65/hr for mechanical but i dont mark up parts and usually sell it to them at my wholesale cost. and the ONLY people i know that get anything for free or damn near is my wife, or my tow truck guy were...
Jlee and I talked about that It's gonna cost more then buying but he does alot of projects and more tools are never a bad thing to have! Not to mention if people like his bumpers mmabye he can sell 1-2 extra to help offsett but it isn't a deal breaker if he cant
Request they replace the whole door shell. Don't let them do a door skin most people are terrible at them and in 2 years the door is gonna be a rusty hot mess.
The forum in general came to that conclusion. All acknowledging his thread does is feed the troll. All your gonna get from this is no answer and whatever you say twisted around and thrown back at you! Me and JCH13 went round after round with him and nobody won
V6 mustang has more then enough grunt to have plenty of fun on the street. the 05+ mustangs handle pretty well. i say shocks springs subframe connectors good wheel and tire combo. and enjoy the car!
Floor board rust is big on those in new england normally due to leaking ttops owners are not bothered to change. you have the classic wheel arch rust and the rust that forms behind the sideskirts all bits like that to check. engine wise they like to eat HG due to people not keeping the cooling...
Lol you come to the correct place! Four regulars on here own them! For a forum hands down best mr2 is WWW.mr2oc.com been around since 1998 in its current form. Database of knowledge is hugeee. 2nd is for a MR2 in general your gonna have to get your hands dirty working it and being tightly packed...
trust me when i say that car is gonna be cleaner then anything the east coast has to offer....i live in new england. and his 250K mile and 18 year old tacoma still beats my 4 year old titan for lack of rust. its a well taken care of car in your price range not to mention the road trip back...
Talk to jlee has a rust free V that has good miles just had the bushings done think he is in the 16-17k range with it really nice car. I liked it a lot when I used it when I was in phoenix
Ha just got the identical car for my wife only. Difference is mine had 43k on it. We love it great little car just bought the stuff for a dsg service for about 220 with service tool so next time it will only run about 130. Huge upgrade from out cobalt. Paid 15k OTD for mine. Love NH no sales tax!
Looking good properly supported the Molding holes. I can't even tell you how many times I've just seen masking tape and bondo. Nice to see someone spending the time on there care you should be super happy with the results. Get. Nice 2k Primer and after you Prime it let it sit for a week or 2...
Now while I love the mr2 I say find another shell why not go a little more random find a early 90's camry alltrac and V6 swap that with a remote mount turbo might be a harder find but that would be one heck of a car or a RAV4 manual which basicly has the celica alltrac e153 total year round toy...
i edited your post in my quote to reflect my opnion. 135 with a few bolt on and a tune are 350+ whp and 400+ft lbs so i am very bias towards those.
if you plan on doing track days or playing more with autoX and what not and i would go with a clean S2k one can be had for 12-18k pretty easily...
I would advise against wet sanding what's gonna happen being a metallic paint when you sand the clear you are gonna end up sanding some of the basecoat which then will look different as you have sanded away the metallic and exposed other metallic layers while close doesnt look like the top coat...
ok coresupport i would pass on i would try and get that one to bend back out. or else your opening up a whole new can of worms trying to weld one of those in. avg time to change one out book time is 6-12 hours. and that doesnt include the teardown of the front end parts. its gonna be easier for...
That's pretty noticeable you can clean it up a bit and polish it up and taken the sin off of it but being a darkheavy metallic color I worry because its through the clear any wet sanding would lead To a more noticeable spot. There is always repaint but kinda expensive for that.
