I haven't been following this case but I did see on the news that they might hang on the main count but have reached a verdict on the other four.
I will preface this by saying that it appears to me that he is guilty of manslaughter but I haven't seen enough of the evidence to have a strong...
Well, nobody knows the full story yet. But if I had to guess at least part of it was due to the fact that they just brought on a new player mid-season to take over for Martin at his old position, left tackle (typically considered the most important position on the offensive line).
This moved...
According to the players this is completely false. Martin was in no way isolated from his teammates and in fact Incognito was one of the teammates he spent most of his time with.
What you are referring to is a prank where the OLine would invite someone to sit to eat with them and when someone...
Sounds like the voicemail was completely taken out of context and fed to the media by Martin's parents knowing that it would be blown up:

Well messy would be an understatement at this point
EDIT: you knew that guy was a red herring but when it seemed like he was looking at Walt afterwards I kinda wondered
In my opinion Walt is going to use a sweeper (a la Saul) and know that Jesse is wired
He's going to implicate Hank while Gomey is watching and filming
EDIT: not sure if Hank showed Gomey the tape yet but IMO he hasn't
One thing that I don't think anyone has mentioned is that Walt dropped the GPS tracker on the floor when Hank hit him. He has it in his hand and briefly after Hank hits him you can see the GPS tracker on the ground for less than a second. (It's in a beam of sunlight from a high garage window...
I'm guessing the pressure is coming from Declan (the Arizona guy) or his superiors (possibly the new main cartel in Mexico). I think back when Mike and Jesse met Declan in the desert with the gallon of methylamine he mentions he had to pull some strings to work out funding for the 666 gallon...
Low Winter Sun looks like it will a pretty decent show. The acting at least is very strong. Lennie James is a British actor that is not as well known here but some people in this thread might remember him as Morgan from The Walking Dead. (He helped out Rick in the pilot where his wife had...
Fairly obvious that B29 went into deliberations intent on voting with her gut for 2nd degree and it took 16+ hours of deliberations for the other jurors to show her that there was no evidence of guilt and to go over the law to show her that Zimmerman was not guilty of anything.
Of course...
There are a couple factors that made a manslaughter conviction impossible given the facts of the case:
1) the judge ruled that they had presented no evidence that Zimmerman started the actual fight. That was why the "initial aggressor" language was not included in the jury instructions and the...
It undermines the people out there trying to portray this as Zimmerman trying to rehabilitate his image or to get positive publicity. If anything he wanted to not say anything about this so people wouldn't know where he is.
Clearly it is just something that is in his nature to do, regardless...

I posted this over in the big P and N thread, posting it here too to show that this happened last Wed (before all those anti-Zimmerman rallies over the weekend) and he made a point of not telling anyone about it, not even to his attorneys when he talked to them at length on Fri...

This is only a meaningful comparison if you buy into the hype that Zimmerman was not being investigated the whole time.
In fact, SPD forwarded their finding to the local State Attorney (Norm Wolfinger).
In fact, Wolfinger impaneled a grand jury for April 10 and his investigators were...
My point is how can she claim that the jury came to the wrong conclusion when she didn't even know what was in the jury instructions? She's literally sitting there all day spouting her opinions just waiting for the verdict to come in and at no point does she actually read what the jury was told...
All she had to do was read the jury instructions. Or listen to judge read them. That's what the jury did. They figured it out and none of them were lawyers. She was sitting there all day waiting for the verdict telling everyone what her expert opinion was and at no point did she bother to...
Sunny Hostin just said the most incredibly stupid thing. She said what the juror was saying proved Zimmerman was negligent. She insists that was manslaughter.
But the jury instructions clearly stated that manslaughter by negligence did not apply in this case, only manslaughter by direct...
West explained it during the post-verdict press conference, it was he was following "an act" that he couldn't top so he had to do something that took their minds off the State's opening.
The joke bombed but she had to think over it and kind of understood it later on. So it did what was...
That's basically the position of a lot of people they're mad because Zimmerman should be guilty of "something" ... it's fortunate that it wasn't an issue that couldn't be overcome through rational discussion by the jury.
Juror B37 being interviewed on Anderson Cooper 360
She thinks Zimmerman should not have got out of the car but she has "no doubt" that he feared for his life when he pulled the trigger
B37 found Zimmerman credible overall. Did not find Jeantel credible.
Manslaughter question was...

A lot of bitterness at BDLR and Corey over this. Ironically it's going to cause their debacles with Marissa Alexander and Cristian Fernandez to become even more well known so taking this case on is going to have the exact opposite effect than they wanted in the long run.
If she were shot and survived she could use self defense if she faced charges.
Just like if the bullet had missed Martin's heart and he survived he could claim self defense when he faced charges, likely ADW (assault with a deadly weapon) likely to cause GBI (great bodily harm). And he'd have...
FBI still holds their investigation open. Not sure if that disallowed the defense from using their findings on their behalf during the trial. If they had found anything to use against Zimmerman I would imagine there would have been some sort of hate crime enhancement during the trial.
Yeah it's unfortunate that someone as smart as her can't accept that she was just wrong. She really lost her objectivity basically from the very start of this case, more suitable for HLN than CNN
