So, here's my problem.
I have a mobo with the ATI Radeon HD 4290 onboard GPU. I also have an old Dell Geforce 6800. I don't know which is better, maybe you can help.
Here are the specs of both GPUs.
ATI Radeon HD 4290
Interface: Integrated - 890GX Chipset
Core Clock: 700mhz
Mem Clock: 1333mhz...
I'm in the process of upgrading my computer and I just have a couple questions about the new mobo, the Biostar TA890GXB HD, utilizing AMD's 890GX chipset.
Here's the specs of the new setup.
Mobo: duh
CPU: AMD Phenom II X3 740 (hopefully unlockable to X4 *crosses fingers*)
RAM: 4gb Crucial DDR3...
I'm currently using the Pentium D 940 with DDR2 memory, but I'm about to upgrade to the Phenom II 740 with DDR3. I'm just wondering how much of a difference there is between these two CPUs, and also the difference/improvement in speed of an upgrade from DDR2 to DDR3.
Thanks!
