I have put together a new computer and went to install windows. Boot off the cd, everything is fine. New drive (64gb SSD for the OS) so the partitions are the 100mb windows boot partition and the remaining space for the OS, everything is fine. It starts copying and expanding files, everything...
I have read so many guides that I am now only more confused, therefore I turn to the anantech forums where great answers can be found.
FIRST : Assume that three computers exist, one is a HTPC which will, obviously, play videos and netflix/hulu/media center etc... Second is a WHS which stores...
Lots and lots of people are now interested in home servers. If you need any evidence, look at all the new products that have come out in the past few years from WHS to HP media center PCs. This is an area that is only getting bigger and there is not a forum for it.
I am not talking just...
I realized I asked the question in this thread poorly, and probably should ask the right questions in the right forum. Thank you to those that replied. I apologize for asking my question so poorly.

There must be a great resource for my question...
My last build was right when the wolfdale e8xxx came out. I put together an e8400 on a p35 Neo2 MB (the one that was a re-badged Platinum) with an 8800gt. Turns out it was an excellent build because it installed without a hickup and it still works just fine. I am not retiring this computer...

I know it is not a "wave" keyboard, but its the same thing just with a USB connection.
Some people love these keyboards, some hate them. I like them and ordered 3 more. One for the home and two for the office. It is a bit wider and deeper then standard keyboards, but not by allot...

Antec 180b for $69.99 AR
As pointed out below, if you are shipping the case you may want to check out newegg, who has the 182 case for $90 AR with free shipping. Fry's outpost may still be better depending on shipping costs to your location.

I am tired of getting these motherboards that offer 8 onboard USB...

Any other MSI p35 users experiencing this? or any other p35 users for that matter?
see: the msi forums
edit: update-...
Anyone know where to find USB headers (or whatever they are called)? I looked at the egg and only found one, so it seems i must be looking in the wrong spot as there must be more then one maker of the things and different options.
My motherboard has 6 onboard USB, but they only gave me one...
Ok, here is the issue.
The CPUs I am looking at are the
E6850 (3.0ghz @ $280 ), E6750 (2.66ghz @ $190) both at 1333mhz, or the
E6700 (2.66ghz @ $320) which is at 1066 mhz but more expensive then the e6850.
P.S. Why is the X6800 three times the price of the 6850? It is 2.93ghz at a...
