No it's not opeb, it's the Qingdao Haiwan bridge. I didn't find the reports particularly bad-assey though.

If it did, they'd be sad but we know they're not because we call them 'gay'. :P

What do you guys think of me traveling the world myself.

I agree with Hamburgerboy and Trident. Although I find the idea of one emo kid giving another advice kind of funny (summer job thread anyone?). Anyway, a few things I've noted: 1) For someone with psychological "issues", you communicate normally, especially when it comes to rejecting sound...

I just ate the most mouth-watering poutine ever!

Save it Captain Corpulence. He won't understand. They don't have "medium" like we do. Their sizes start from "Large". They didn't become glutton-extraordinaires while sitting on their butts, eating supersized meals and sipping cafe mochas....or wait :hmm:

The courier delivery woman just faceplanted herself on my porch

Lol..no! I asked her multiple times if she was ok. She managed to get up by the time I reached her.

The courier delivery woman just faceplanted herself on my porch

Oh crap! So that's what distracted her! Well...in retrospect, she didn't need to concentrate so hard so as to trip over, it is hard to miss. Umm...by hard, I mean difficult of course. :sneaky:

The courier delivery woman just faceplanted herself on my porch

 Poor woman was walking up the steps to the house and was looking at her electronic scanner device and completely missed the 10cm step, face-planted herself, the scanner flying out of her hand into the plants. I am not the type to laugh at this stuff so I'll hold off on the emoticons. I...

    Canadian Television Shows

We have a complex where we are afraid that the outside world perceives us as peaceniks/tree huggers and generally people who have nothing "serious" or "big" going on in their lives. So we try to act tough and give the impression that we have "issues" too, just like some of the larger, more...

not profiling is F'ing stupid and a waste of resources

What's horseshit is what you're fed daily by Faux News. Enjoy your police state and the anal probing by the TSA.

not profiling is F'ing stupid and a waste of resources

It's not deflecting from the topic. The resources spent on treating the "symptoms" can be saved altogether or curtailed drastically if the root cause is treated, i.e. halting interference and policing of the world from a moral high horse.

not profiling is F'ing stupid and a waste of resources

How about not attacking Islamic countries in the first place and not supporting Israel unconditionally to the opposition of pretty much the entire world, not just the Muslim world? And no, 9/11 was NOT the start of this all. The U.S. has been playing foul with nations and peoples all over the...

Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, anyone been?

Great place. Not as "fun" as other water/marine educational theme parks/centres but an exquisite aquarium nonetheless. I liked Field museum more because I am a bit of a fan of the ancient history stuff.

    Athletic/microfiber-type clothing

The majority of synthetic fibers are harsh on the skin, don't breathe as well and are heavier compared to cotton. Thought this was common knowledge.

The Last Samurai - translation required!

Meh. Bloated. Pretentious. Contrived. Why was I supposed to care for Tom Cruise's past? It was barely developed. I don't like it when I am made to feel a character is important when there is little in the way of background to justify it. The Emperor had to kill all the Samurai before he...

Anyone ever carried PC in luggage or shipped via courier?

It's a hit and miss from my experience. Sometimes new luggage pieces will become useless after a single trip because of the handling. Unemployed and scheduled CCENT exam for July 9? What's next?

True but you can't honestly expect people to memorize all kinds of CLI commands from the multitude of vendors out there. My question to you would be: were they able to answer the more complex questions?
