Build is below. I'm trying to determine if it would be more cost efficient and worth the investment to simply get a 2nd GTX580 since the prices on them are pretty low now, or would it be better just to spend the extra money and simply replace the graphics card altogether for one newer card. My...
Yeah its the 128GB Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 2.5" SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
I have an external HD, which is already connected to the computer. That thing hasn't had any issues being recognized my the mobo, however I haven't installed an OS on it yet.
Yeah I got the key yesterday only after finding out that my copy wasn't "genuine". I actually tried the steps you showed me but it claims the product key is incorrect. I tried over the phone and the "confirmation ID" they gave me claims it is invalid. They utlimately instructed me to do a full...
Ok so now something new has happened and maybe you guys can tell me If its correlated. I tried to do a system restore to a previous date, picking a date that was right before the issues started happening. When I did that all of the sudden I'm getting messages saying windows isn't genuine. Turns...
Interesting, I don't think I've ever had this software installed before. Now when I open that program up, the current status says: "Your system is functioning normally". I mean, I guess that's a good sign? So does that mean the HDD is good? I'll report back if another crash happens. I've been...
So I tried to do what you suggested, however "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\IastorV" isn't there. The IastorV file isn't listed. What do I do now?
Ok I'm definetely going to try your suggestion then when I get home. My level of expertise in registry editing is....none. I used that "fix it" thing (referring to my solution I tried at the top of thread) that automatically did it for me. I'll let you know what happens after I try your idea...
I will try your solution when I come home. Last night I did unplug the satadrive from one of the mobo ports and plugged it in to a different port on the mobo. Unfortanetely it didn't fix the problem. So are you guys saying that Bubbaleone's solution wouldn't work anyway and I should just not do it?
I tried that first thing because I did a google search and someone had the same problem at it worked for them. I have not tried any of the other ideas you had. Can you explain to me what you mean by switching the drive controller mode in BIOS?
I have not physically disconnected and inspected it...
So my rig has really never had any issues up until the last couple days. Randomly when the computer is idle, or sometimes even during start-up, the screen goes black (like the boot up menu) and displays this message:
Reboot and Select proper boot device
or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot...
I was told I might have better luck in this forum:
So I have ATT UVerse with a RG and my xbox360 S has built in wi-fi. I have previously used wifi on the xbox with my previous cable provider and have never had any issues with it. I have successfully got it to work before with Uverse but...

Yes she's going to let me. Honestly tenthumbs, I was considering something like this but I moreover wanted something where it would be more effective for filming outside of just the actual birth itself.
When you say bitrate, do you mean like 720p, 1080i, or 1080p? If so, I really plan to shoot it in 1080p if possible. Would I still get about 4 hours out of a 16GB flash card?
I forgot to add that I don't know much about HD capacity. I mean, I've seen lots of cameras have internal memory now? Some with SSD drives? Which is pretty awesome, but I have no idea how much space I need to document all this. I would presume that I need enough space to film at least 4-5 hours...
Ok so I've owned video cameras in the past, none were HD. Here's what I intend on using this video camera for (Other than future family events, vacations, etc):
1. Document the pregnancy a couple days each month, I'm going to do a timelapse where I show her growing from one month to the next...
I just updated the original post. Ram has been replaced, memtest gives no errors but now my computer is locking up after 10-15 mins of gameplay on Max Payne 3. Prime95 made computer freeze after about 10 mins. Should I run it again?
I reseated the RAM in different slots and ran memtest again. This time, I was able to get to about 11% but then it started reporting the same errors.....RAM bad?
UPDATE (6/19/2012): So I reset my bios settings to optimized default. I re-ram memtest, no errors. I re-ran Prime95, no errors! I have been able to play Max Payne 3 for that last hour or so with NO Crashes. As of right now, it seems the problem has been resolved. I'll update this thread if...
So on another post I was given the suggestion of running tests for my CPU, GPU, and Memory. I was told to run Prime95 on my computer. I got my results and this is the report. I'm hoping someone can explain what this means and if this is the reason I'm getting these issues:

Unfortunately I don't have a spare video card. The only other resource intensive game I've played recently is Diablo 3. Other than the standard server disconnects which most users have been having, it hasn't crashed or anything on me. The last game that gave me any real trouble that was similar...
My build is in my signature below. I have been dealing with some serious crashes, freezes, BSODs, and some glitches on many games I play. I was hoping I could get some advice on some good software that could help me test out the following hardware for issues:
Note: I'm using Windows 7 64-bit...
UPDATE 2: So I ran memtest 86 and started getting massive errors reporting. I assumed it was my ram so I have no replaced the ram and re-ran memtest. The good news: Memtest ran all the way to 100% with NO ERRORS (AWESOME!)
Bad News: Played Max Payne 3 for about 15 minutes....computer randomly...
Hello all, my current build is below. I'm getting issues with Max Payne 3 constantly feezing on me then crashing. It happens every now and then, sometimes 5 minutes into gameplay, sometimes a couple hours into gameplay. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
