I've been looking at creating a gaming server for some games (Minecraft, Terraria, L4D2,etc) i'm just wondering what all should I look to do in order to run a flawless server? The only issue I forsee is the 1mb upload of Hawaii.
This would be my first server and I have no idea where to start...
I was restarting my computer yesterday and during the shutdown I had a power outage, when I go to login to my windows 7 account it just locks up and doesn't do a thing.
I've tried doing a checkdisk /r and /f
Did a Windows repair and system recovery.
I also waited all night for it login...
I'm just curious to see what your guys/girls favorite and most hated companies and specific motherboards are. :P
My favorite motherboard is the one i'm using now an Asus M4a88TD-V EVO, I remember the worst I had was some weird mobo that we picked up at a swap meet..... stupid thing blew up XD
I just like to build computers... Blasted addiction.
$1500 budget
None the less, this is a gaming compy
For the CPU and Mobo I'm wanting to try my hand in the Sandy Bridge processors. So If you guys can sell me (as in make me purchase) one of the older models go for it.
GPU: 6950...
Has anyone played this yet? This video is the only reason I want it.
From what I know is that you can have Batman, Superman or Wonder Woman as a mentor if you are a superhero I haven't really put much research into villians though.
I can't really remember off the top of my head, but if I were to take a 16x 2.1 card and put in a 16x 1.0 slot wouldn't it just give me half of the actual bandwidth? Is there any other issues that would arise from this?
Whats a good heatsink for my Phenom II 1090T. I just want one that looks better and is a wee bit more efficient than the stock cooler. I'm willing to spend 80 at the most.
I have a Dell Precision 490, its booting slower than the other 490's we have. When I check the raid configuration it says Raid "Verify" while the other computers say "good" or what have you.
My question is how do I go about checking or what is the process to get this drive back to normal?
Alrighty, i'm helping out one of my friends build a computer for $1500, he's no fan-boy of anything he just wants a good gaming computer.
The only thing that he chose so far is a Cooler Master Storm Sniper case.
Alrighty this is my build for my wife.

I usually just use stock paste, but this time i'm wanting to be more "dangerous" so to speak :P
I'm honestly not too sure what the right amount is, any tips or pointers?
I'm just curious, I see alot of builds wanting to run StarCraft 2. I'm just wondering if there is something that would better test any new build out there.
Honestly, without anyone with a bias. What is the true difference between these two? From my knowledge it really just seems to be that NVidia has better tessellation.
I dont mean to start a war or anything. I just need a bit of clarification.
I'll just be using it for movies and that is it. What would be a good build? I'm new to this whole thing. I'll use $800 for it.
I'm not going to be picky about this so anything will do, Amd or Intel I dont care.
I'm trying to build a great gaming computer. I'm going to work with $1500 so I'm going to put some stuff out and lets see what you guys have for me. Thanks in advanced. :)
Mobo and Cpu: AMD
I dont like Gigabyte hardware
I'd like to get the new 890 chipset
Six GB of ram
I'm also wondering...
If I were to take apart my MSI Megabook g620-001 and replace all the current thermal paste with arctic 5, would it make the laptop as a whole run cooler? or am I just doing something silly?
What is the difference in performance game wise with these processors? I know that the Athlon cpu doesn't have a L3 cache on it but what else is different about it? \
I'm just looking to see what will benefit me more for my gaming computer i'm planning on building.
I have a MSI Megabook GX620-100, Its has a Socket P Intel Core 2 Duo 2.20Ghz Processor.
Will putting a new CPU increase anything I currently do on my computer or should I look at increasing RAM first?
My setup
CPU: 2.20 Ghz Processor
GPU: NVidia Gt9600m
RAM: 4 Ghz (I'm not sure about...
I just finished building a good gaming computer, but I want to either make a good cheap computer for my mom or just find a good laptop or netbook. Can any of you give me any build specs? This is just for basic computer purposes i.e. Internet browsing, minor gaming such as bejeweled.
Thanks in...
I'm just wondering, without spending much more than needed what can I do to the build i'm thinking of?
