Yes. I can confirm it works for my Costo Amex. When I entering my Amex card number for verification, I recall reading something that said the card number must end with 1001. My Citi Amex card ends with something else.
Since I am a T-Mobile customer, I like this plan. A couple of follow up questions:
1) Can I just buy a cheap feature phone off eBay and use it for the prepaid plan? after I buy a SIM card from T-Mobile?
2) On the T-Mobile prepaid plan, are calls to other T-Mobile customers still free?
I need to get my kid a cell phone for when he is out with friends or staying with my ex. It is for emergency only so the only requirement is that it makes voice calls. What is the cheapest plan out there for a feature phone? Any information is appreciated.
Thanks
I don't know about measurable differences, but from personal experience, I prefer PCI-e adapter.
1) It boots up faster than USB adapter. It appears to me that Windows has to load the USB hub driver first and then the wireless driver. With PCI-e adapter, Windows loads the wireless driver a...
I bought a bunch of these around BF. They look cheap and they feel cheap compared to my other HDMI cables, even when compared to the freebie HDMI cable that came with my refurb DVD player. However, they work just fine. I have one connected from a laptop to a monitor and one connected from a...
Was in South Austin Costco this afternoon and saw a pallet full of these remotes for sale at Costco. I have never seen price this low for a Harmony One remote, not even a refurbished unit. A quick Google search shows J&R has the lowest price on a new unit for $159.88 shipped. Since I have not...
The code also works for today's ShellShocker deal: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL for a total of $35.19 shipped. Thanx OP.

Will this work with ECS A780GM-A v1.0? ECS website http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product/Product_Detail.aspx?DetailID=866&CategoryID=1&MenuID=20&LanID=0#fragment-CPU didn't list this CPU specifically, but it does list 925 (C3) and 925 (C2) as compatible.
I have 5 of those adapters. 3 are in constant use. The rest are spares. They mostly run great except for 2 things:
1) They do run hot. But I just popped the cover. No problem so far running with no cover.
2) The computers sometimes don't see the adapter on cold boot. I have to re-install...
Try contacting Christina Fleck directly. She always promptly replied to my inquiries. Still, I waited until mid April before receiving my November 2011 rebate.

Yup. That's the problem for me. I am pretty sure all my machines have Realtek Gigabit NIC. It is not like Realtek is a 3rd-tier company. It is a big name player. Thanks for the info. I may give that a try next time.
You are one of the lucky ones. From http://www.mediasmarthome.com/article/14041/Restoring-64-bit-PCs-from-Windows-Home-Server-What-You-Need-to-Know/ :
"not everyone using a 64-bit OS will have restoration issues. Like a Windows installation disc, the Windows Home Server PC restore disc...
WHS v1 recovery CD is 32-bit. It will not recover 64-bit system. You have to either manually load 32-bit NIC driver and pray it will find your WHS, or yank the disk out and recover it via another WHS client using ClientRestoreWizard.exe. Can someone confirm that MS fixed this problem in WHS...
Anyone got small capacity USB thumb drives laying around collecting dust? I need them to make rescue boot device and/or to hold drivers while restoring PCs. Capacity need not be big. 512MB is more than adequate. GB size thumb drives just seem complete overkill for what I want to do.
Got a...
My understanding is that 5GHz band yields a shorter range, but it is less crowded so you get better signal strength. With a good simultaneous dual band router like the E3000, you get good range on 2.4Ghz band and excellent signal strength on the 5Ghz band. This is exactly what I experienced...
I got one last time at this price for my sister. I am thoroughly impressed by this router while I had it for testing. Easy to configure, no heat issue and excellent performance. Seriously thinking about picking one up for myself.....
I bought a couple of these antennas for my router because they were cheap http://www.mwave.com/mwave/SKUSearch...0SMA%20OMNI-Di
First, I don't see or feel any gain in my coverage as my router is already very good to begin with. Then I got to think: how does the antenna help the router? I...
2nd that. I have 2 of these. One in my main computer and one in my WHS. The one in my WHS powers 7 HDDS without breaking a sweat. Both run silent and cool without the fan even turned on. Excellent PSU at a great price.
Can't speak for others, but my experience is very positive.
Got the router yesterday. It came with the latest firmware and I had it setup and running dual networks in about 10 minutes using the web interface. I set up the 2.4GHz network exactly the same as my existing network and all my...
I am still waiting on my rebate sent in on 11/08/2011. I email Xigmatek on 12/20/2011 and promptly received a reply from Christina Fleck, Accounting Clerk/Office Manager stating:
"Yes, pestering me with email is the easiest way to check your status or you can call me. However, please follow...
No go for south Austin location. After lengthy discussion amongst the associates, the manager finally made a ruling that Walgreen is not a competitor. Therefore, the coupon is null and void.
Just contacted egg's customer service and had the code approved. However, I have to contact customer service again after the cooler is shipped to get promo discount credit. Oh well, another 10 minutes online.....
Yeah, I saw the code on the egg's front page, but it also says:
"20% Off Select Computer Accessories with Promo Code: BLKNOVCA at Checkout."
This cooler may not be one of the "select computer accessories" since it already has a rebate. If anyone can get the code to work, LMK and I'll...
Got an email from mwave about this deal tonight. This is the same adapter I got from Staples 2 weeks ago for $10. See this thread for more info about the adapter: http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2199913
Obviously $12.99 is not as good as the $10 deal, but it is still heck of a...
There is a printable $5 off $25 coupon in the back of the on-line ad. I picked up 3 more today for $25.
Yeah, I had the same doubt. Couldn't believe a Cisco branded N adapter can be so cheap. I used one of Staple's demo computer and Googled the product. When I saw the specs I had 2...
Found another great use for this device today. I had to restore an old 32-bit machine from WHS backup using the restore CD. The biggest hassle has always been keeping the networking driver around so that it can be loaded during startup and connect the machine to the network. All I had to do...
I concur. I am going back to get a few more to upgrade all my wifi adapters to 300mbps. BTW, the unit I have runs warm to the touch, not burning hot. Another plus.
Not dead, just in-store only. That was specified in the email. I was confused by the on-line ad too, that's why I didn't pay attention first. At the store today (Austin, south), there was a table full of this item and the the Cisco Valet Plus Router under the banner "Special Buy".
I got an email flyer yesterday about this deal but I didn't pay attention because I thought it was $10 off. But I was in Staples today and saw the adapter for only $10. Was debating whether I should pickup a Wifi-N adapter from deals posted by Zap. But $10 for this device made it a no...

The reviews are all over the place. It is either hit or miss. Glad my 2 were hits.
In my WHS, I have 2 X 2TB WD Green drive, 2 X 2TB of Hitachi version of he green drive, and 1 X 2TB Samsung F4 drive. Of all the drives, the Hitachi drives are the quietest. The Sumsung drive runs the coolest. The WD Green drives run consistently 5-10 degrees hotter than the Samsung drive...
It would have cost me $6 in gas just to drive over to Fry's to pick this up for "free". But the free shipping made it a no-brainer purchase.
Thanks OP.
Sorry. I was so excited I forgot the code was "A Token of Thanks: Exclusive Coupons on Your Choice of Components!"
