BFG 7800 gs agp is a pretty cool card to have. I don’t have one. I attempted to get one several times but never quite panned out. Care to share pictures of it?
Been a good long while since I’ve been around these parts. Figured I would say “hi” by bumping one of my favorite memories of this place. Still into pc’s and video cards but man..... the market has changed so much that I’ve really just been turned off to buying anything new in a few years...
Not a 1080ti owner but I can’t help but be turned off entirely by the direction the whole graphics card industry has gone over the last few years.
Ever since the GTX 680 was released I’ve felt like this hobby turned into a scam. I stayed enthused for a couple more generations but have...
not sure if I want to get the up3216Q or a larger 40" 4k screen. I would love to get the Dell but back when I got a UP2414Q (24" 4k), the Windows scaling support was awful. A 32" 4k might only truly be comfortable with scaling. I really don't want to get an off brand monitor because I am very...
While I agree with the point of your post, It isn't unreasonable to think that NVidia shifts their focus to current gen cards in performance driver updates.
I just can't seem to stay away from my 30 in Dell. I always have kept one on my desk while trying out other screens. My latest venture which was a 34" ultra wide, while a fantastic screen, ultimately ended up getting sold in favor of my 30. I managed to stay with the ultrawide for 2 years...
Wait a minute, Gsync doesn't work correctly all the time? Is it that games need a profile or something? Are there game comparability drivers for it or something?
I wouldn't know anything about keeping old cards around. Been playing on my crossfire x1900/ fx 60 rig lately. Who needs a Titan Z/ 4790k machine when you can play on such a cool retro rig?
Face2face, does that 9800 gx2 work? I wouldn't mind having another quad sli setup to mess around...
I want to see some Titan X price cuts. I refuse to buy the cut down card. I don't really like that the only way to get the full maxwell chip right now is to light a grand on fire.
Keys, sell me that X at a reasonable price then upgrade that dinosaur of a rig that you are running.
For Amd to sell cards well, it doesn't just take making the best product possible. It also takes Nvidia making the worst product possible at the same time. When this happens, Amd will sell half as many units as they should meanwhile still being outsold by the green giant.
Ahhhhhh..... You are the man! I've been dealing with this for what seems like an eternity. So happy! Sorry for taking the thread slightly off topic but major kudos here.
Russian, I actually think the difference is between the amd reference board and the Msi gaming pcb. After refreshing my memory it's the cluster of 4 caps in an L shape near the display outputs. The Msi revised board doesn't have those caps but everything else is the same. I'd post a picture...
I have an Msi gaming heat sink for the card if you want something for cheap. I think you have to drill out a very small section on the back plate cause it was for a 290 and those don't have one capacitor that the X has. Seriously a 2 minute operation will make the cooler 100% operational for...
The only thing wrong with a Titan Z is price. It never made sense to buy one at MSRP but one simply can not argue with it's performance and appeal in form factor and outright potential unleashed with added fan noise or watercooler.
Anandtech isn't actually Anandtech anymore. It is someone-else tech. It is no more Anandtech than McDonalds belongs to the McDonald's. With that said, I still enjoy the community even if I do it in lurker mode as I have for about the last year. I still enjoy my PC but I keep most of my...
So since I switched to Windows 10, I had been getting out of memory crashes on my rig with a Titan Z. This time of year I haven't much time for toys so I didn't invest much time into figuring out what was wrong. Basically anytime I played BF4 for more than 30 mins I would get the crash. Last...
a couple weeks ago I pulled out the lightning to sell it to a friend. I'm trying to get my hands on a new card for my main rig. If I do get a new card I'm going to put my Titan Z in the htpc... I can feel the hate already =)
"They" as in PCper didn't stack the odds or anything dumb like that in favor of the 980 ti's. They simply used cards that were sent to them to review. Why are people so dramatic?
What was the mega hype surrounding Fury? I thought AMD was very quiet about the card. In todays world hype comes from people that have no inside info, no ties to a product or basically zero knowledge.
While I wish the Fury had a little more Fury in it, the card itself seems to be quite nice...
I'm baffled at the delinquency of the review. This place surely has changed over the past year. Heck, even the FS/FT section is a far cry from what it was just a couple years ago.
My Titan Z just does not like the drivers. I've tried a few clean installs over the past week or 2 and no third party utilities. Pretty much I just get random driver stopped responding errors and screen blanking. Ultimately I just reverted back to the previous whql's and my stability is back...
I too had 2 or 3 dsr errors on the desktop after installing this driver with my Titan Z, but went to bed right after. Still haven't turned the rig back on
