I'm guessing I could snag around 500$ for it on eBay or whatever...
what do you guys think?
500$ would go a loooong way to improve my new build.

Hello GH, it's the man everyone loves to hate coming to you guys for advice for the final time.
This is the budget build I'm going with:
Are there any improvements I can make to maybe reduce the overall price without sacrificing any performance?
I've been skimming through Anandtechs CPU benchmarks and Intel really just BLOWS away AMD.
Intel has low-end dual core processors that can outperform AMD's high end quad (and even hex) cores in a variety of tests; why is this?
Hey guys I just checked Newegg and they sell alot of different CPUs and mobos and whatnot so go there if you're planning building a new rig.
This is for discussing CPU's, not where to buy them.

my main concern is game performance and i'm gonna be playing at 1080p.
the amd + 6950 would be cheaper and would play games better than the 2500k + gtx 460/560 if im not mistaken.
it's either i get the 2500k and upgrade my GPU a year from now or get the AMD and upgrade my CPU a year from...
I just wanna be able to play most games at 720p @ 60fps on high settings; why do I have to be a rocket scientist and spend 2000$ just to get this done?

GPU is more important than CPU, a decent dual core CPU is good enough for vast majority of games; sandy bridge quad cores arent needed
I have about 4 5450s laying around the house and I was wondering if I run them dual will it be better than a 5870?
Questioned answered (by Ben90 in post 14 :P j/k) so locked to prevent this thread from spiraling out of control.
