The real question is what has valve been wasting time on the paste 4 years? Their engine hasn't improved much. Portal 2 and hl2 are both sequals.. I think they just have a lazy team.
Its a great game with one huge problem there is no secure character storage so you can just edit your char to be amazing and play it online, it de-values items and makes trade worthless. So if you enjoy playing diablo2 in single player mode buy it. If you like multiplayer then just play Diablo2...
Its all about the money on pc blizzard gets 100% of your fee. On console im sure there would be a large cut to sony/ms. Why do this when you can get what? 17 million wow subscribers.
You buy a console sony/ms own you, all there is to it.
Ive found 3 reviews and all 3 say ace combat6 is better.
1up.com tore it a new one... basically saying they call of dutyized the game and ruined it.
Guess ill go get ac6
So i hate asking this but... what system is better to buy a game like this on? I ask because ive seen some really bad and choppy ps3 ports (blazing angels for example).
360 also has better party chat features.
I cant wait for tomorrow.
Awesome game, loved it. All the comparisons to gears of war are nonsense. I played from start to finish in one night i was so glued to the screen. Mutiplayer is total crap but i dont think anybody was expecting that. Hopefully this co-op dlc will be fun.
Linus wants them to fork gnome and continue gnome2 developement.

The game is pretty close to out, can anybody verify that this game has good PC controls (AKA i can customize my keyboard layout ect ect..). Do i have a proper game server browser?
In other words is this a crappy console port? I really want this game to be good. But im not paying for console...
Or the fact that you bought 5 drive at the same time that then later in service began to fail in close proximity. Unless u have a different drive in the system with different usage. Its a sound theory.
Replace all of them.
I think one of the big things about Arch is its release model. Unlike fedora/ubuntu which go with major revs and often don't leave upgrade paths or close repos after some time leaving you stranded to get updates easily.
I guess you can get the same thing with Debian Mint.
I know you said you are not using syslog-ng
I set this up for my mikrotik router at home with syslog-ng. Maybe the config methods are similar and this will help?
filter f_mikrotik { host( "192.168.144.1" ); };
destination df_mikrotik { file("/var/log/mikrotik.log"); };
log { source ( s_net )...
whoami doesnt work. These users do "sudo su -" which loads the env variables of the user you Sudoed too
Also
echo $SUDO_USER does not work in this case.
I came up with this to do it:
REALUSERID=`TTYTEST=$(ps | awk '{print $2}' |tail -1); ps -ef |grep "$TTYTEST$" |awk '{print $1}'`
Im trying to get the script to mark who is running the command. But it will always be from a sudo su - USER123 account.
ps -ef |grep grep
will show me the pts session and i can ID the user that way.... but it seems like such a hack is there a value stored somewhere to show what pts is in...
I like Deluged for Linux.
Start it up go to prefs turn on the webui. Also once you enable that you can setup the deluged daemon to run at system start chkconfig for fedora is used to enable this.
127.0.0.1:8112 password is deluge
Add this in. 1st is my favorite tool. My history is appended one every single command. So if i lose power or somehow kick out of the box without a proper exit i dont lose command history. Also when you run say 7 screen sessions the history is shared this way.
Second i just added PWD=`pwd -P`...
What your trying to do is setup plop Linux... but if your doing windows... I'm sure they have a solution for a few thousand. I think at that point you may as well just setup nonthin clients.
We had some rehl 3 servers with over 1200 uptime. We had to rekick them though for security. At home I have a fedora 13 server with 152 day uptime with load averaging 1 at any given time.
lsof | grep deleted
great command on high uptime boxes
Does the raid controller keep logging? Try the messages log it does sound like a drive issue. If not fail the drive out and replace, you should have cold spares laying around for such a large array.
I went from Linux enthusiasts to Linux pro by playing with concepts in vms. Setting up a new VM environment for each task and learning. Anytime I completed a setup or a task I copied my bash history to a folder on my desktop. I also cherry pick some commands I came up with and throw them in...

EAs entire login system accross all games seems to be impaired.
I havent found any news from EA but the entire BFBC2 network is not allowing logins and if you do its asking for the CD-KEY again.
Also hearing the sports games arent working on the consoles.
It doesnt really matter what distro but i would go with something like CentOS but thats me. 700mhz should be plenty to share with samba at ~12mb sec. Im not sure what the performance of a DLNA server would be.
Install ubuntu server (because you are familar with ubuntu)
Install uShare (DLNA...
Highpoints 2680 has been great since I got it working.... I am having issues with my cheap 2tb drives dropping from the array. I updated to cc35 and so far its good.
