Based on Zen 3 CCD reported die size of 11.27mm x 7.43mm, the gross die per wafer is about 740. This is gross die, before die yield.
TSMC reported producing 12 million wafers in 2019. Of course TSMC has many process technologies older than 7nm still in production. Only a fraction of the total...
How long is the count down? You should be able to abort using:shutdown -a
If the count down is 1 minute, just set a scheduled task to run that every 30 seconds or something.
Not pretty but it might work.
Quality control on the multi-TB drives has gone severely downhill over the last few years. It would not surprise me one bit to encounter a failing/failed drive.
You should probably try using the drive on at least one other computer and see if you have the same problems before you RMA it though.
I have successfully made backups of a TrueCrypt encrypted system drive using "dd" - the block copy utility found on unix-like systems. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dd_(Unix)
With dd, you can clone your TrueCrypt drive to another drive, or you could write the entire contents into a file...
The water-cooling fittings I am familiar with all have a rubber O-gasket that ensures the seal, so I don't believe teflon tape is necessary. I've been running a watercooled PC for 8 years without teflon tape and have had 0 leaks.
The optical drive on my main PC broke a few years ago and I haven't missed it.
For OS installs, I exclusively use USB sticks. Microsoft offers a tool to convert your Windows DVD image to a bootable USB. For Linux, there are other free tools to convert images to bootable USB.

Also note, the speeds are probably the max theoretical bandwidth. In real use, distance from the tower and attenuation due to buildings, etc will lower the actual throughput.
I have the W3520 on the UD5 with x21 multi at 4.2GHz with 24GB of DDR3. So what you are trying should be possible.
I am away from my PC though so I can't check any settings for you right now.
1. Remember any salary number you put out there becomes the "maximum salary offer" from the company's point of view during any subsequent negotiation.
2. Find out what the mean or normal salary is for people with similar experience in similar positions in similar areas. Ask for more than this...
I just pay the 10 cents a bag and don't worry about it. When I do the math for myself, I figure that it comes out to a one tenth of one percent price increase for my typical shopping trip. This is not a significant enough cost to warrant caring.

It actually has a lot of good advice for anyone applying for a job. But it's especially geared for tech companies.
Intel is actually in the process of ramping up their foundry business. They have already announced deals to manufacture for Altera, Achronix, and Tabula. Deals with Apple and Cisco have been widely rumored, but not confirmed...
Having the best factory isn't all that matters. Otherwise Intel would be dominating the mobile space right now. But they can hardly compete with Qualcomm and Samsung today, even with their technology advantage.
