I want an upgrade from my AMD 860K, Frys has a combo with the i5-7400 non k and a MSI B250 motherboard for $235 should I buy that combo or wait for the lower end Ryzen cpu's to drop. Im looking for maximum performance and am very cheap when it comes to computer parts. What do you guys think...
Still waiting on some non ES Zens benchmarks from multiple sources until then we cant be sure, that being said price/performance is my bottom line and no matter what I hope they dont price these at $350-699.
Loving my Xbox one purchase lots of Free games with gold and a Free Xbox 360 inside my Xbox one everything runs like butter, came from PC gaming and am still happy. Its nice getting 2 consoles for the price of one. As it is Xbox is the better value, most for your money.
If they try to sell these at Intel prices they better perform like intel chips, other that that sub $150 for a Octocore would be nice. Im happy with my 8320E overclocked. But if they overprice these like they did in the beginning with Bulldozer well I will personally wait to see what Intel does...
Yes just overclock you will be fine till Zen, Intel is faster but only has 2 cores dont put money into dual cores for gaming anymore, other than that get an i5 if not the 6300 overclocked is a nice chip.
Something will happen Im suprised china hasn't stepped in yet, maybe they want to buy ultra cheap to make the most profit we will see, I cant see AMD just dying like this, but maybe Im wrong.
So you guys are saying if Zen comes out with that fire, that intel would be forced to drop "Moar Cores" damn sounds like a dream to me. I wanna see intel start enticing people with cores, sounds delicious, we need that again. I want to see multi threaded programs and games crushed by my...
Beware R7 260X's have a horrible black screen issue which make the cards useless buy at your own risk!!! Just want to save you the headache i have gone thru.
Yeah Im runnning a R7 260x black screens all the time ATI's little secret google black screens and blue screens with R series cards. Thats why im jumping ship because ATI wont acknowledge the problem with the R series cards , its bad.
My main concern is multi threaded games and Virtual machines, will the new skylake i3 cpus' being able to handle those with ease, over lets say an Amd 8350?? Because I want to be playing BF4 while running a couple Virtual machines and would like the single threaded performance of Intel without...
Im asking your opinions on the matter. I want to upgrade to skylake relatively cheaply and get the most performance bang for the buck. But I cant for the life of me justify buying a dual core cpu in 2015 for over lets say over $85 bucks, which is what AMD offers in the 860k be it a much slower...
Qualcomm May Acquire AMD: This Could Trigger Significant Upside For Both Stocks
http://seekingalpha.com/article/3278115-qualcomm-may-acquire-amd-this-could-trigger-significant-upside-for-both-stocks
Well the real question is what will AMD when Skylake drops? I dont see anyone buying anything AMD even on the low end when Skylake pentiums and I3's drop. So what will AMD do until Zen comes out in 2016/2017. Thats really the question here.
Well I decided to give WaterFox a try for my AMD FX 8 core and I have to say Im pleasantly surprised, this closed the gap on the single threaded performance hit, compared with intel and made my over all browser experience better and easier. It seems to use the AMD FX chips way better. It works...
I own a G3220 Cpu and will tell you its the best Cpu Ive owned at that price EVER!!! You get two really Fast Haswell cores at under $70 bucks it games like a champ and I play BF4 64 player maps with some stuttering mostly not but I use the AMD Mantle drivers which is a must for anyone with a...
Its the Excavator!!

Went with the Xigmatek thanks for the help.
Is there a way to ghetto mount a fan on the pins maybe some double sided tape because I have some fans laying around.
Air not water cooling.
Hot temps idling at 60 throttling cpu at 80 cant game. Cpu temps are nice and cool Vrm's are nice and cool northbridge blazing hot. Monitoring with Hw monitor. So which do you like.
I got a hold of a AMD FX 8150 cpu really cheap, so now I want to know do I need to apply the Windows 7 fix for these cpu's in Windows 8 or it already patched for the Bulldozer cpu's.
Buy intel right now, it probably wont be getting any better for AMD until about 2016 after they abandon Bulldozer architecture because even the new Kaveri steamroller cores cant come close to Intels Haswell or Phenoms 2's performance.
I have a 6300 and it handles BF4 nicely but quite honestly I would get the haswell refresh or just get Haswell now. But you will have no problem with the 6300 and BF4 it seems to like AMD fx cpus nicely. But my next cpu will probably be Haswell refresh or skylake or whatever is after haswell...
How much of a difference in performance between this and the pildrivers, because im honestly thinking of picking one of these up for a budget gamer machine and I dont think you will ever see any of these 8 cores cheaper than this.
