    Battletech

They really need to tweak the AC10 or head armor/structure numbers. Right now the AC10 is a head hunting king. Head only has a combined 70 armor & structure vs the 75 AC10 damage (which is where gauss rifle should be damage wise). Head hits are too frequent as well. Every time I take an...

Anybody ever had an ant farm? I'm going to get into this big time.

Man, ive always wanted to have a sweet ant farm setup ever sine i saw an episode of Mr. Wizard back in the 80s. He had jars full of dirt, and covered with paper. Between the jars of various sizes were clear plastic tubing to connect them. Early 90s i finally got one of those Uncle Milton ant...

    Battlefield 1 released!

Yep. Hooked up my logitech stick and mapped just fine. My only issue is the left/right rudder when twisting the stick. It's backwards. Right is left and vice versa. So I've left it untapped for now. Otherwise I had to crank up the sensitivity and dead spot in game.

Stellaris - Paradox Space Grand Strategy

Had some time to sit down and play last night, but only for a couple hours. It was enough to get a good feel for the game. So far I'm really liking it. It takes the best parts from Stars!, MOO, GalCiv, EU4 and mashes them together quite well. I can see myself dumping some serious hours...

    Mechwarrior Online (Previously MW5/MW3015)

Transverse was a half baked idea by PGI for a new IP. No one wanted to fund it and the project was completely independent of their publisher, IGP. IGP is now out of the picture for PGI. Piranha bought out and kicked IGP to the curb, so all of the limitations IGP put on Piranha are gone, and...

    Mechwarrior Online (Previously MW5/MW3015)

Still dont understand the hate this game gets. Its a fun mech arena shooter currently. I really have no complaints. Still play a couple nights a week as long as i have time. The Transverse fiasco was an eye opener for them i think. No one wanted another space type game. That money ship...

Any other games like classic Colonization?

Nothing really compares to the Original Colonization. Its really its own unique game. And i even prefer it to the remake. The music and graphics are wonderfully nostalgic since i got the game as a wee lad back in the 90s. Its good to hear its on steam now, but ive been running it on DOS box...

Boy Scouts fall millions behind budget

You keep compairing apples and oranges in your arguement. A more apt compairson would be that the all girl school now allows openly gay girls, aka, lesbians. Which, news flash, are already in all girls schools! Shocker i know. Now if the school your daughter was in had an anti gay policy and...

Boy Scouts fall millions behind budget

Our pack didnt recruit nearly as many kids this year as in the past. We were told numbers were down across the country, but i didnt think it would be too bad. We always have a ton of kids sign up, but when its time to pay the 50$ fee, most dont bother to show back up. Even the attrition after...

What the hell? The Lego Movie?

Caught this with the boys over the weekend. Its a really good movie. Got home and decided it was time to add my stash of legos from my childhood to theirs. So they just got a giant tub filled with tons of castle, space, pirate and city Legos from the mid 80s to early 90s. I had 2 big...

    Dog Dilemma

A dog run isn't lazy, its practical to keep the dog's bathroom area contained. The dog goes on walks but not everytime it goes out. Also it has run of the whole backyard when we or the kids or out. And yep, the husband will probably end up cleaning the yard, just like he takes out the trash...

    Dog Dilemma

Wifey: The puppy-itis I mentioned was because we had an adorable litter puplies at work the other day, that were available to a home. I see puppies all the time and yes I want one. However I like certain types of dogs and will wait to get a kind I want not just a puppy for the sake of a puppy...

    Dog Dilemma

Wife: I don't really think of getting a dog is something I need to compensate or pay my husband for. I wash his laundry, pick up his clothes from the floor, do a miriad of things around the house that benefit him, he does stuff that benefits me, its a marriage we work together. He already has...

    Dog Dilemma

This is the wife again: working at a vet I know quite a few breeders and I can tell you normal pet owners vs breeders typically have less smelly houses/ animals. Breeding dogs are kept intact, the females go in heat, the males tend to mark. Spayed and neutered pets don't have the same smells and...

    Dog Dilemma

This is his wife: yes I want a dog, I'll admit I have puppy-itis. My husband finally mentioned the fact that I have worked at a vet clinic for 12+ and yes we have 4 cats and 3 kids, but we have plenty of space. We basically have a 5 bedroom home, and a fully finished basement with a large family...

    Dog Dilemma

Kids are 2, 6 and 8. Weve had a couple dogs in the past. One died years ago and the other passed last year. Ive been enjoying not having a dog. No shit to scoop, can shove the kids outside without worring about the stray lawn pickle. My wifes worked at a vet clinic for the past 12+ years...

    Dog Dilemma

So... My wife really wants a dog. I dont. She really does want a dog. My reasons for not having one are as follows: we have 3 kids, 4 cats and its nice not having to clean up dog shit from the yard plus im not that crazy about pets in general. Her reasoning is she likes dogs and the kids...

    Winner Winner Free Chicken Dinner

These ones, no. This neighborhood is on the south side of town. I live on the north side. But i did have chickens bothering me at one time. A house one street over was being rented by a pile of illegals. They were raising chickens in the basement and every morning the rooster would crow...

    Winner Winner Free Chicken Dinner

    Media Streaming device

I have a Windows home server running Plex and use a roku2XS and a roku3 to stream. I absolutely love this setup. I came from a windows media center setup and the roku+plex route is far simpler and has been a much better implementation than the WMC box. The roku2XS interface skips and lags a...

Finally. A reason to like Ohio

I love all the people that hate on Ohio. Its not the most happenin place, and a chunk of it is run down, but we have lots of hidden gems here. There is plenty to do, but you have to look for it. Its a great state with its fair share of problems, but a nice place to live as long as you stay...

    Do I want a Roku if I have a WiFi Blu-Ray?

The best answer is it depends. The Roku offers tooooons of different content, some free, some subscription based. The biggest reason i have multiple Rokus is Plex, the other reason is i dont have a dvd/blueray player. I use Plex to stream my movies from my server to the TVs around the house...

PSA: Plants vs Zombies 2 is now released for Android today!

i agree with the tedious aspect of replaying levels for stars. Im almost to the burnt out stage just from grinding out star levels to get a 4th key so i could unlock the double sunflower. The tactics from level to level dont really change...
