    Cool pillow recommendations

I've struggled with pillows for a long time. I've lots of styles of pillows in various price ranges. I finally shelled out some for legitimate down pillows and I'm pretty happy with them. I do have to aggressively fluff them up every time I use them, but they're actually comfortable.

Why are those so many people in USA?

Lack of free healthcare in the United States keeps our immune systems stronger. More of us live to adulthood than in Canada.

Wouldnt gas stations make more $ if you CANT pay at the pump with credit card?

Yeah. I was mostly in between Montreal and Gaspe. Didn't go to a single gas station where I could pay at the pump. I was in British Columbia recently as well and I was able to pay at the pump every time there.

Wouldnt gas stations make more $ if you CANT pay at the pump with credit card?

If no gas stations let you pay at the pump, a competitive gas station would start letting you pay at the pump and people would go there instead. Following that along for a bit and now every gas station as pay at the pump. I was up in Canada recently and no gas stations there had pay at the...

    Coffee benefits at tech companies

We now have a coffee and juice bar at my company. There are baristas that can make you juice, smoothies, or espresso drinks. We also have 5+ varieties of locally roasted drip coffee that you can get self-serve. It definitely beats the automatic espresso machine we used to have.

Making offer on a house, I want to get the structure of a floor and wall tested, how do I do that?

This is the best information I've found so far. Thank you so much. Not being able to hang stuff from the studs is kind of a bummer. Would you suggest notching out the wall to place horizontal wooden supports in against the studs in between the channels? Do you have any ideas how insulating a...

I've been watching this guy's channel for about 6 months now. It's really getting me interested. This guy is a marketing genius - selling the hobby instead of the products. I can only imagine how much his online store is picking up.

Making offer on a house, I want to get the structure of a floor and wall tested, how do I do that?

I'm going to make an offer on a house which includes a band room with "hung floors and wall" for soundproofing. I'd like to turn his room into a woodworking room, but I have some concerns about the structural integrity of the hung floor to support heavy tools and being able to hang things off...

Turning a backhouse into workshop. Bad idea? Good idea?

I went to look at the house today. It's pretty awesome. The backhouse has two large rooms. One of the room was designed to be a music studio, so it has soundproofed walls (i.e. I can use power tools at night) and it has outlets EVERYWHERE including several spots in the floor. The music studio...

Turning a backhouse into workshop. Bad idea? Good idea?

I'm trying to find something in the central part of Austin. A pole barn is a no go. Houses with garages are less common, most garages are 1 car, and anything larger than a 2 car garage is super rare. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk

Turning a backhouse into workshop. Bad idea? Good idea?

I've been looking for a house in a particular area of town and I've been struggling to find something with a large enough workshop for my woodworking and other hobbies. Within my price range, I occasionally run across a house with a small 2 car garage (~200 sqft) which is a bit small. I just...

Would you buy a house across the street from a church parking lot?

Well, by the time a realtor responded with my request to see it, it was already off the market. Stupid crazy fast selling Austin market. I'm actually out of town right now, so I would have jumped all over it and seen it immediately if I was there. Guess I'll keep looking.

Would you buy a house across the street from a church parking lot?

I found a house that I really like. A well kept 1910 house in a historic neighborhood. Recently renovated. Workshop in the back. The only catch is that the two lots across the street are a paved surface lot for the church a block over. I'm having a hard time deciding if that should be a deal...

Android is probably a little easier to get into. But you can do either one. Think of this as a beginner learning to program, you're just happening to choose mobile app development. You can tinker around, do tutorials, etc. If you have any aptitude for programming, you'll pick it up and figure...

My dad wants to go to Alaska, what should we do there?

My dad isn't really too interested in a cruise. I did a small Alaskan cruise about 10 years ago and loved it. Saw a lot of ocean wildlife, glaciers, great scenery, etc. Here's the rough plan I've come up with. We're gonna flesh out as we go. Day 1: fly into fairbanks Day 2-3: Fairbanks (see...

I asked my dad to take a trip with me and told him we could go anywhere, he picked Alaska. I think we're going to go beginning of September, which I know isn't the ideal time, but seems like it should still be fine. He's 66. He's still able to get around, but he gets tired. An hour long hike...

I insulated my garage door with these styrofoam panels: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008OPLHVE/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It made a huge difference. Non alcoholic beer???

Is there a better way to buy a car that talking to a sales guy?

I spent a full day negotiating over my last car and I still paid too much. Surely in this day and age, there is some kind of middleman group that can help negotiate the best price on your behalf.
