Thanks again for all the replies. I was gone for 24Hrs, but before that I just did the 2NIC & Patch setup. Basically for fast file transfer, and CD Burner Archiving. Works just fine, and does exactly what I wanted.

Ah but my D: Drive is just an extended partition of my C: Drive. If I use FDisk, I have to delete BOTH Partitions.

Thanx That was my main concern, that I actually COULD use two cards without a conflict between the LAN and the cable modem, since the modem is essentially a LAN setup. I'm sure the 10/100 setup would be better. Thanx for all the replies

I am running a BETA Win ME and want to reinstall win98SE back onto my drive. I have a drive image of ME on my D: partition. Now when I format the C drive and try to install Win98, When it starts detecting hardware, it freezes. Restarting doesnt help, when it tries to continue, it freezes again...

I was just reading some of the other posts and saw USB networking. Would this work, and how fast is it (Mbps)?

Be aware that the Hauppauge Win TV has issues with the VIAtech chipset. Read their troubleshooting FAQ. With a BX board, it kicks ass.

Having a cable modem has monopolized my nic card, so is anyone out there using two? I would like to network my two comps, and leave the modem setup undisturbed. Any problems with this, resource sharing, or otherwise?

Be sure to get the latest BIOS update from ASUS. I don't think the original has full coppermine support. But The board will definately support that Processor. I have seen that config up and running myself.

Were you running 98 before? If so you need NT drivers for the integrated stuff. If HP can't provide them your only options are.... Disable them in BIOS and use add in cards. Find out what those Solderins are and try to get NT drivers from the Mftg sites. Go back to win 98. And there is a good...

Like I said, I just haven't heard anything about this before. Kinda pisses me off though. Not that my performance is bad, but that I can't use the card to the Max.

Partition Magic has that ability.

If windows selected your monitor as "default monitor" this is the cause. Just install the correct .inf for your monitor and the option will appear under the adaptor tab.
