I had the same exact problem. The serial number printed on the drive matches the one printed on the box, but the model type does not (20 vs 21 just like you). I'm planning to send the drives back to Maxtor. Has anyone else had this problem? I suspect many of the boxes were affected by this.

I will not switch back to IE until they support CSS and XHTML correctly. Standards are MUCH more important to me than features.

Careful buying expensive stuff like this from OneCall. They are a great retailer and I've never had a problem with them, but they will hit you with a 15% restocking fee if you return the item.

I don't have an iPod, but all of my music comes from CDs that I have ripped to my computer and sotred in FLAC format. Whenever I want to put songs on my portable player (either my RioVolt or Nomad II) I just make a playlist in Winamp and use an MP3 output plugin to convert the FLAC files to MP3.

Yes, that's exactly what it is like. It's great, because you fingers never need to leave the wheel! It saves a lot of time. If you want to see what it is like, go to any store that has a Mini on display.
