i agree, i really cannot see a sub 200 dollar 7800GT before july -- you can already get them for 280 so why wait?

thanks for all the suggestions after a lot of hair pulling, i figured out it is somehow related to using anisotropic filtering with the high res? If I set AF to "application" all my games work in 1920x1200, otherwise they all break. very wierd but for now I will play with no AF and maybe look...

same thing happens with DVI and VGA the display works perfectly in windows desktop 1920x1200 seems like maybe a driver issue?

screenshots look perfect (doesn't match what I'm seeing on the screen) --- the problem seems limited to the display??

Hi, I am having trouble with my new Dell 2405fpw.. it works fine in 1920x1200 in windows, but when I trry to run games in that res (Half Life 2, LO:MAC) the screen goes grey with lines across it. I am running a 7800GT over DVI and driver version 8.1.9.8. Thanks!

falcon4 iis actually a re-release of a 1997 game. it uses 2d cockpits, which probably make it difficult to support widescreen
