    Thanks, Since posting I found the ATI page with recommended power supplies for the HD 4870. http://game.amd.com/us-en/cros...n%E2%84%A2%20HD%204870 Most of the models the recommend are in the 1000W range - do I really need that much? Why are they recommending such wattage?
