is there any way to test if my heatsink is fitted correctly? i had trouble installing it, perhaps it is not fitted properly.

my ram is running hot aswell, 50c and my E6600 is idling between 53-55 and im not sure about my video card. pm me if u find some more info on the matter.

I have an E6600 too. its on an Asus P5B deluxe wifi and im using stock HSF and have not overclocked it. Asus probe says my cpu idles at 53-55c :[ heres a screen shot. Oh, my ram is running unusally hot too, about 50c. asus prove screenshot

AYEE i'd like to know which mobos come shipped with updated bios that support core 2 duos. Preferably those in stock at newegg. Thanks alot!

Hey. I want to build a core 2 duo rig with 1 gig of ram (maybe more as per your suggestions) a 7900. Im thinking of getting the E6600 becauase it is the cheapest of the 4mb cache cpus. I would like to know which motherboard you folks have had luck with. Also, which psu's having been reliable...

Im thinking of buying one of the dandy Conroe's as soon as I can. I'd like to know if the conroe will be compatible with vista (im pretty sure it will), will the motherboard be compatible and more importantly, the dx 10 cards that will come out. Im thinking of picking up a Conroe and a 7900GT...
