How do I change the CMOS-battery? Can't get it loose!

Hi, My CMOS-battery seems to be dead, since the BIOS resets everytime the power is turned off. However I have a problem replacing the old battery with a new one, since I can't seem to figure out how to remove the old one! I have uploaded some pictures here. If anyone has any tips, please...

Problems getting a new IP after laptop sleep mode (WLAN)

I have a Belkin 54 mbit wireless router, which generally works perfectly with my Acer laptop (built-in WLAN). However when the computer has been in sleep mode (which turns the WLAN off), it sometimes take 20-30 minutes before I get a new IP-adress from the router. This can be really annoying, so...

Overclock utility for GeForce 7600GT ?

Where can I download coolbits? It is a registry-hack, right? I would like an app that can overclock the card when I run certain games, and keep it at stock otherwise.. Is that possible?

I'm a bit worried about my temps

I have a A64 3500+, and was wondering if the max temp is about the same on my A64 as for the opterons? Right now I'm running it in: CPU: 10x250 = 2500 RAM: 5/6 * 250 = 208 HTT: 4x250=1000 I have the retail cooler and stock voltage (1.40V). I get 44-45C during Prime95 Torture test...

    Overclocking A64 3500+ on Asus A8N-E

Hmm, I seem to have gotten quite a good sample. Running 10x250 now, with 5/6 memory divider and 4 HTT multiplier, thus memory @ 208 Mhz and HTT @ 1000 Mhz. 1.40 V. Running Prime95 torture test "blend", and been stable for about 1.5 hours now. The CPU temp max out at 45C. Is this too high...

    Overclocking A64 3500+ on Asus A8N-E

Well, I think 2640 will be a bit too high for my stock cooler and average ventilated case (2 fans in, 2 out, all low rpm). But it would be nice :)

    Overclocking A64 3500+ on Asus A8N-E

Should I lower the HT-multiplier from 5 to 4 if I run 10x240? Is it ok to have my SATA HDD connected to port 1 ? dwcal: Thanks for the tip, I will try it!

    Overclocking A64 3500+ on Asus A8N-E

Hi, I need some help overclocking my system. My cpu runs att 2200 Mhz (11x200) default, and my goal it to get it up to 2400, which is 11x218. I guess/hope that my Kingston value PC3200 can run @ ~440 mhz with slow timings, so I hope to keep a 1:1 FSB:RAM ratio. My problem is that I...

    Weird chassis-fan problem...

The weird thing was that I never had this problem on my old Abit AN7 (Nforce 2 Ultra 400). I tried increasing the rpm to the limit I accept (~2000 rpm) noise wise, but that wasn't enough to get it started. Zepper: I have the ASUS Q-Fan disabled, so it shouldn't be interfering (sp?)

    Weird chassis-fan problem...

I have a Enermax 80mm chassis-fan, where you can control the fan-rpm with a little nob that you turn. When I connected this fan to my new mainboard, an ASUS A8N-E, it didn't start. I connected it to the CHA1_FAN-header, which is the one closes to the intake fans in the front. The weird...

    Retail cooling A64 3500+ vs A64 4000+

Just got a A64 3500+ retail, which runs at 39-40 degrees C under max load. Was thinking of bumping it up to 2.4 Ghz. But I was wondering if you get a better cooler with the 4000+? Seems my cooler is quite good, because I don't think 31-34 C idle and up to 40 C max load is that high...

Windows thinks my primary SATA HDD is a removable device

Just got a A64 3500+ on a ASUS A8N-E (NForce 4 Ultra). So I installed windows XP SP2 on my primary drive (200 Gb Maxtor SATA), and now I have in the right corner of Windows the "safe removal of hardware"-icon (direct translation from swedish hehe). The one you get when you plug in an USB device...
