Thanks forcesho,
any idea about how much a set up like that would run?
I know my friend is looking to do things on the cheap... although
I agree that backups are essential and one shouldn't skimp when it comes
to that. Just wondering if there are other cheaper alternatives.
I would like...
Hi,
I'm trying to help a friend set up a small business (one man law firm). He'd like to be able to backup his important documents and contracts on a hourly or daily basis in case of a crash. What is the best solution for this? I'm guessing it's a combination of software and hardware...
My friend gave me his old 20 gig HD and I'd like to add it to my current pc to be used just for storage.
But I'm just not sure what steps I need to follow to do this.
My OS is Win NT 4.0 w/service pack 6 (yeah yeah I know.. why am I running that? it's my work pc and I can't change the OS so...
I never had a problem playing DivX or Xvid movies before. Recently though, certain movies crash WMP (movie doesn't even start. as soon as wmp comes up, I get a Dr. Watson error).
I verified that the movie is the right size and the person I got it from is able to play without a problem.
I tried...
How is it that a 780+ meg vcd bin file can be burned onto a 700 meg cd-r without a problem, but I can't overburn a 750 meg mpeg?
Do I need to convert the mpeg into a vcd and then make a bin? or can I just make a bin out of the mpeg? What tools would I need? Is it possible to do?
Ok... I turned on overburn and now looks like
it's going to do it. It's giving me warnings
that it could possibly screw up the disk or even
the burner. Should I be worried or is it really
not that likely?
Hmmm, I'm trying that but the Disc-At-Once dropdown is grayed out and it's on Track-At-Once.
Am I doing something worng or does that mean my burner doesn't support overburn?
It's an Iomega ZipCD 12X burner.
