What was wrong with the card that makes you think you have this problem? I own an X-Fi as well and the worst I get from it is scratching at times, but then again, it is the very first fab of the card so it's almost expected for me.
Avocent SwitchView is a KVM over IP though isnt it? Rather expensive just for a standard issue KVM he is looking at pricing...unless I'm uninformed at the moment.
I think this a glory title more than anything~ to say "I overclocked my Intel Extreme 2 yo!" or what not. I wouldn't suggest it since if you do burn her up, you'll be buying a new motherboard (possibly more) and not just a video card.
It's not that you can't use those with them but rather than Corsair doesn't support them and they haven't been tested. Which simply means there could be latency problems with them or small compatability issues. Normally, this isn't a problem but it's always something to definately take into...
I would defiantely get the X-Fi from a pricing stand point. While the other has those neat features you will probably never use, teh X-Fi will still be supported in years to come and actually required for some games (models with xram).
If you didn't want the nagging voice telling you to get better, should have just gotten Power & PC Cooling the first time. No doubt P&PC is the best, which is what it sounds like your looking for.
I've been trying to find some with a built in mic that have the engineering aspects for computing, not cell phones. Still want the stereo sound but with a wireless microphone too...voip and what not ya know.
