Have you removed the punched grill for your fans? Remove them, my intake Panaflo sound quieter after I removed it. And replace it with the regular chrome grill, which less restricts airflow.
Is it true that FAT16 (FAT) is the fastest file system among all?
I want to create a swapfile partition, and according to the tweak guides in Tweak XP, FAT is the fastest.
I have an intake case fan, 80mm Panaflo. Because it's quite noisy, I wanted to run it @ 7Volts, cause it's easy to do.
Is there a big difference in airflow between 7V and 12V?
Thanks for the reply!
I'm burning my files & drivers to a CD now, preparing for a clean install.
Format in NTFS? Does that mean formatting/partitioning from the WinXP CD?
Can I do that using Windows 98SE StartupDisk?
I have a 80mm Panaflo which is quite noisy, and I wan to make a switch/rheostat to control the speed. I guess rheostat's better, right?
Do you know a How-To guide? Is it expensive to make one? I only want to use it for my case fan.
I've just bought a stick of 256MB Infineon PC133. My old RAM was Hyundai 128MB PC133. The Hyndai was pretty bad because it can't run in CAS2. Now I'm using the Infineon @ CAS 2-2-2. Memory bandwidth was higher, offcourse. Should I use 384MB or 256? Is there a risk of mixing 2 brands of RAM...
I'm using ATP3 with TB Santa Cruz. It's great! My friend even told me that SC is better than all Live! series, cause Live! series uses the same chip. Dunno if compared with Audigy.
I've seen many guides & casemods with rehobus/fanbus.
I think fanbus is the switches which is attached to the drive bay cover to control the speed of the fans. CMIIW.
Then what's rheobus??
