The bonus points seem to be a pretty good increase in PPD as long as you're turning in results in a timely manner. HFM.net is pretty much spot on with it's estimates on PPD production and bonus calculation.
I can't compare your results with Linux, but have seen an increase in PPD of 20-30%...
Yeah the benchmark is a cool feature.
Here is the project the quad is working on compared to my 2 Core2 machines:
Project ID: 6014
Core: GRO-A3
Credit: 484
Frames: 100
Name: Laptop (core2duo 2ghz Win Vista)
Path: \\Laptop\fah\
Number of Frames Observed: 199

Got my quad core today.
It is sitting @ 99% cpu usage.
Here's the limited benchmark from HFM.net:
Name: Quad
Path: \\Quad\fah\
Number of Frames Observed: 4
Min. Time / Frame : 00:06:37 - 5,515.9 PPD
Avg. Time / Frame : 00:06:44 - 5,373.2 PPD
Cur. Time / Frame : 00:06:56 -...
With mine, I did it all in the setup.
My shortcut is: "C:\FAH\fah6.exe"
I added the switches under "additional client parameters".
My log starts:
Launch directory: C:\FAH
Executable: C:\FAH\fah6.exe
Arguments: -smp -verbosity 9
Is the A3 doing any better?
Anyway I have a cheap...
Hey SemperFi,
It sounds like you definitely have something messed up.
I would check that you aren't limiting the % your core get.
Here is a guide that will get you up and running right. (assuming you don't have other issues.)
Since you have already installed you can stop the client and...
Hi guys....
I haven't posted in a while, but I noticed we dropped in production as well.
I think I am maxed out. I have 6 older boxes running Amber cores. I also have just one newer box running the SMP 5.91 (C2D @2.5ghz).
That box has an ATI X1950 pro and when I first checked out the...
Have any of you guys tried the new V6 clients yet?
I just noticed them when my SMP client quit and I went to get a new copy.
I am just curious is it is worth the upgrade for single core slower boxes.
(I have 7 boxes running v5 CLI and have direct access to 5 of them)
Actually I had 8...
There is no testing mode.....
Just install one of the clients and keep an eye on the log.
F@H is really transparent you can let it run as long as you want and it shouldn't interfere with anything else you are doing with your box.
Keep an eye on the logs and your core temps. (The SMP beta...
Not really sure what you mean by 1 off EUE.....
I have never run Orthos, but Prime95 has run >24hrs on every OC. (The main reason why I have identical processors running @ different speeds.)
Every once in a while I see an EUE. The only times I have ever seen more than one it was due to...
EUE = Early Unit End
It happens when F@H becomes unstable. (not always because of hardware)
My athlons start becoming unstable when software temp readings hit around 50C.
Never really enough to crash the computers, but if I see an EUE it is a reminder to blow the dust out.
Barton XP's @ 2.2 are getting around 190 PPD atm (bonus wu's)
It runs avg 47C (software) it'll start EUEing F@H when it hits around 52C and needs the dust blown out.
The XP-M is definitely a better chip than the Barton XP I have running at the same speed, but the desktop processor has a...
It's on a Shuttle NF2 Ultra-400 board that is capable, ram is Corsair value ram (DDR400).
It also is in a bedroom, so it is setup more for quiet then speed. I don't think I am gonna get more speed without replacing the HS/fan.
The only real world difference it would make is about 20 PPD for...
