So if a hard drive doesn't have much space left, I hear it slows down. But what about a partition running out of space? My System partition has about 8GB/100 GB left. But my HDD is still only about 50% full. Will the partition's performance be affected?

I'm planning to get a Crucial M4, but the computer uses this old Intel G31 and ICH7 chipsets and E5200 CPU. I don't believe the motherboard supports AHCI either. It's an ASUS P5PKL-CM. The computer is running Windows 7. Will there be any problems running off the chipset and without AHCI...

Sometimes when you are browsing you get those message prompts that have "cancel" or "ok" and send you to a site or make you download something. I know you shouldn't click on it , but what about the [X] close button on the message? Can it still trigger something?
