New monitor driver is installed by Voodoo5 installation cd-rom.

Just installed card, get 32 bit color but only 640x480 resolution. Subsequently uninstalled previous card's software, new card and software. After reinstall of card and software from CD-ROM, same problem. System: 650MHz PIII, 320Mb RAM, 6.1Gb HDD. I would appreciate any help.

"msgsvr" is not in Startup, nor in Close Program. It appears in Close Program only when computer freezes. No IRQ conflicts or other software problem. Happened again last night.

Norton AntiVirus is scheduled to scan the HD every friday at 8pm. No backup utility present. Just discovered problem at 1am and revised original post.
