im using ASUS probe and im getting 45c/31c for my cpu/mobo. I am also running p4 1.6a@2431 mhz but i have a P4B533 board..not the V. Its not spiking for me though..

is ASUS probe correct in reporting temps? I know this is off-topic a little bit but im wondering.

as3 will make a slight difference, 1 or 2 degrees. your temps are great though for an overclocked machine. Then again, thermal pads suck(the retail fan has one) slap tat as3 on anyways, itll make u sleep better at night.:)

the hauppage wintv go card only lists tat it could do mono. Thats why i was wondering would it be better to get a stereo card or if there is any way to make tat mono on both speakers...

fior a tuner card, do u need mono or stereo sound? or does it even matter..i want to pick up a card as well for college

did u put a good layer of thermal paste? if so, what kind? AS3?

go to www.liteonit.com and dl the firmware for the 48x drive. I had the same problem with Nero with my 40x drive( it only read it as being 24x) Dl the firmware program and run it. It should fix the problem right away.

ok flashed it and it worked..now the DVD one..its a LTD-163D and i go to the site and it only has it for DOS mode. Im runnin WIN XP so i dont have a pure dos mode, so how would i flash this?

can i flash a dvdrom drive? and yes, i havent flashed them. DVD is set as master and at the end of the IDE cable..also, wat do u i use to flash each drive?

ohhhh..thing is, it was workin fine burnin at 40x on the same type of CD-r jus a couple days ago. Problem arose when tryin to burn a Audio cd (mp3 to wav). My bro tried it and said it didnt work so i cant figure it out now. Everytime they touch my comp, somethin wrong jus has to happen..

i dled the newest NERO 5.5.9 and it still says my burner recordin speed can only go up to 24x..i dunno
