    I did the same thing with my sytem...got the mouse, bought the Coolermaster ATC-201 case, and did not get a matching monitor but got the NEC FE700 for under $200 at Staples...had to do that deal. As far as hte keyboard....the only one I could find that had a silver keyboard was at Alienwarebut...

    No you will not receive anything on the screen, just the leds will light up, I am nnot sure what the code is on that mobo (waiting for mine in the mail) but I know for a fact you will not get a message on the screen.

    Its not a software update, its a hardware update LOL...I do not think you have to hook up the live drive, man that thing is sweet. Cannot wait to pick one up.

    Value is just a basic live card, platinium is a lot better, and comes with the Live Drive, that goes in a 5 1/4 inch bay and has multiple jacks for headphones, midi devices and some other things, also has the digital out on the card itself, which the value does not.
