This speculation pleases me, thank you.
I wanted to wait until this new generation but due to a card dying went ahead and picked up a 7790 awhile back. The card has been fine and price/performance is great especially considering the Bioshock Infinite bundle, but I've had this nagging regret...
For Casual you could do Nation Red, its brainless but fun over beers.
I think the current gold standard for PC mp is the ones mentioned already in this thread, L4D and TF2. Either one you can jump right in and have fun. Of course TF2 has a lot of depth but anyone can simply join as a soldier or...
Hah "Outlast" looks great!
I picked up "Sir you're being hunted" today, only messed around with it a bit but it seems pretty neat. For the life of me I can't figure out the inventory system, specifically how to drop something. Quite frustrating.
Seems like the main way I lose in endless mode is from dying knocking 3 points off getting me to 0, as opposed to baddies actually escaping. The gnoll hunters tend to corner me and commence rape right when I'm out of charm to change their minds.
One key as sorceress is maintaining line of...
I get it now. As far as I can tell there is no longer a way to make physics traps 100% guaranteed to throw back bigger enemies, best you can do is upgrade until there is a chance that it happens. Thus no longer the possibility of a smaller setup that cannot be passed without predestruction by...
I'm curious about endless mode.
Given a 3x3 area with ceiling big enough for a swing mace and walls on both sides it is possible to build something that nothing that walks can get through if traps are upgraded to where the physics traps affect ogres, as long as you can take out those kamikaze...
Great news, I hadn't heard about this at all.
Now if same day someone would announce Defense Grid II (with coop) I'd probably immediately drop to my knees and begin masturbating furiously while singing "Perfect Day" by Lou Reed except in a falsetto.
Yeah I put a ton of hours in Borderlands, surprising given the somewhat repetitive nature of many of the tasks. Just a great overall game.
BL2 definitely gets an exception to my "wait until a steam sale" rule...
Now that is some good times for your money right there. They still look surprisingly good and do a lot more with physics and environmental interaction than one would think for a six year old game.
I bit on this game (hah) when its price dropped, and was very disappointed didn't get far before I stopped playing it and eventually uninstalled.
There is just so much better stuff out there.
I grabbed SpaceMarine as well, its surprisingly entertaining despite my complete inability to relearn that the space key isn't jump. Its got a nice little campaign, very linear but not too hard not too easy. Good times for $7.50.
A good one to have in multiple account for guests is Nation Red. Is cheap, can do coop (I think even on one PC) and has pretty low learning curve just get in there and start blasting.
