Higher Temperatures with 6700K vs 6600K

Running a 6600K with Z170M & HYPER 212 EVO my CPU temperatures @ 4.4Ghz was between 29 to 45 Celsius, idle at 23 and 25. Upgraded CPU to 6700K @ 4.4Ghz temperatures increased to 60 and 70 Celsius, idle 20 to 34. Is this: 1) too high? 2) What is a cost effective to change to which...

    Msi h110i pro - overclocking i5-6600k

Hello, Anyone has any ideas on how to overclock a MSI H110I PRO. In the latest BIOS it has a tab in the BIOS to overclock Chance ring frequency from 3900Mhz for all cores to 4400. I was not able to find CPU voltage. I did find PCH voltage, max is 1.2? I have a picture of the...

Recommend a new Intel I7 system?

I am using a 4770K overclocked to 4.1 Ghz for general and optimization work in where optimization can take from 3 min to 1.3 hours of elapsed time (100% cpu utilization). CPU temperatures are between 60 and 70 degrees Celsius. Should I: 1) Consider from Microcenter a I7-5820K six core CPU...

    Speedtest not working...

AMAZING!! I posted a this issue with GTS Gigabyte development Here is there answer: Answer - 1447131 Answer : Dear customer: B85M-D3H board is not designed for overclocking. Please use Z87 chipset for OC. Thank you. The manual and BIOS has all the overclocking parameters, but...

    Speedtest not working...

I used three different methods to overclock with B85M chipset (the auto overclock 20% fails completely). All three methods CPU Core is FIXED, where it should by dynamic based on load. Same methods work fine with a Z87 UD3H. The firmware of the B85M is not as current as the Z87X UD3H. For...

    Speedtest not working...

Frequency drops to 800 Mhz, but Core voltage stays at 1.201 with OC to 4.1 (not turbo OC). Called Gigabyte tech support and they have no clue. How can I submit a bug report?

    Speedtest not working...

Hello, I have a problem with Intel speedstep not working with a Gigabyte B85M-D3H using an I5-4670K CPU when overclocking using Turbo method. The core voltage stays constant at 1.21 V when actual speed lowers to 800 with no load. Using the default setup (no OC) speedstep works fine...

    High Core Voltage with I7-4770K

With an offset of .05 with VC set to normal and OC of 4.3 using TURBO method in BIOS resulted in stable system: 1) VCORE 1.247 2) Realtemp of 70C Obviously it was the GA-X87X-UD3H that has an issue with run away voltage. Hope GA will fix this. Thanks to the guys having me try the...

    High Core Voltage with I7-4770K

I have another Haswell that OC to 4.5. As I have issue with this one GA-X87X-UD3H with F7 BIOS, is the high voltage caused by? 1) CPU 2) Motherboard 3) BIOS Thanks

    High Core Voltage with I7-4770K

With 4.3 65C. Default at 3.5 57C. Voltage looks reasonable up to 4.1 @ 1.261. Anything above it spikes to 1.46 to 1.55. Talked to Gigabyte support today and stated temperatures above about 50 are not tolerable. I thanked him and said "Good Bye". I read many are running temperatures to 70C and...

    High Core Voltage with I7-4770K

When OC to 4.3 Ghz using a GA-Z87X-UD3H with F7 BIOS using Vcore at auto with a stress test Voltage increases to 1.465. No OC Vcore is at 1.133. Similar configured Ivy bridge Voltage is 1.2. What causes this over voltage? Thanks

Still waiting for Newegg adv replacement for my Arock Extreme4 purchased on 1/10/2010

I called , and they told me I was not eligible. I proved them otherwise, and their system was confused as I had one the 1st Sandybridge order which was DOA. I had an advanced replacement which was confused with the B3 advancement replacement. Thanks
