I think its a beta and not just an overclocker BIOS. Why would they improve proformence and not include it in standard BIOS. I am not on my main computer so I can't test it yet, any one else have impoved numbers?
Theres a new bios 2.4 and then there is a new beta and look what it fixes.
1. This is the AWARD(R) V1.0B16 Special BIOS

- Speed up DRAM Refresh time, AGP performance and IDE UDMA performance.
- add ratio range below CPU normal...
Well its an alienware so its fully tweaked out. This thing runs Q3 Team Area with no sweat with everything on. Out of all the games I play only half-life is a problem. Strange huh. Then I though it was just me so I got 3 other opions and it does stutter. Also I realy only like to use official...
Hey all
My half-life stutters even with latest drivers(4 in 1) and Geforce Ultra(6.50). And I don't have AA on. Oh and 32 bit colour is diabled. Strange because it happens on even the lowest of settings. In both openGL and DX8.
Hey all
Getting a cable modem- USB connection or conneting it to NIC card- Which faster
Well Of coures I will be playing games on the modem... but I have a
1.2 ghz
Geforce GTS 2 Ultra
256MB VC Ram
45 IBM HD
So do you think it would be much of a problem with the USB using cpu time?

Umm I though USB was easier? If there is a big preformace differnce I go with nic, but i want easy way.. I have a VIA motherboard thats been great but don't want to take to many chance:) Even though i am sure it would be fine:
Oh I highy reccomend this BIOS, seems like it imporves preformance and got word from my friend that it fixes issues with win95 on these boards. Also he mentioned that it fixes other little issues. Any one else see any preformance increases?
