I feel the exact same way. Looks like We'll have to wait for the Anandtech review. They're pretty good about giving quantitave measures of noise as they did in this roundup last summer. I think they're busy with the Pentium 4 6xx series analysis right now though. They were noticeably absent...
I don't know anyone that has one but after reading Tom's Hardware Guide's review I think it looks pretty good. Only available in EIDE for now but they say a SATA version should be around soon.
I should say that it looks like a good drive. I haven't been following prices on it.
OOS in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area (or at least that's what the clerk said). None on the shelf or in the clearance section and he said two people had already come in looking earlier on Friday. Supposedly, this area's been out for months which seems reasonable for a "final clearance" item...
I have absolutely no need for this drive but bought one anyway. Good drive, great price... I just couldn't pass it up. I guess this bolsters the argument that everything on infomercials is $19.95 because $20 is, for some reason, the amount that people (read: me) will drop on a whim.

This got to be slighty more YMMV when they removed the drive's price from the website. It was $130 before it got pulled though.
