i have a 9800pro and have the same problem just now. i upgraded my hardware to a neo 2 mobo and 3.2 prescott recently, reinstalled windows etc and it all worked fine for battlefront and other games for a month or so. my graphics just died in the arse when i was playing rome total war yesterday...
