I can't seem to get eccp to send results on one of my computers (win2000pro). There are about 700 points ready to be sent, any suggestions?

Networking Apartment: 4 PCs, Linksys Wired/Wireless 4-port Router

go the cable route. If you can't put them through closets/walls, you could run them along the bottom edge of walls/under carpet. Best place for price on bulk cable is Home Depot by far. Their connectors aren't the best price, but for only a few they are fine.

    Strange addiction to distributed computing.....

Well, I don't like to unistall, but unfortunately DC doesn't pay the bills ;-) Only solution I've found is to leave it running....

    Strange addiction to distributed computing.....

I think 2 of my computers are addicted to distributed computing... I have a few computers running a couple different projects. Even though running at the lowest setting is fine for normal use, when you are running something really processor intensive (games, video editing) on the computer, it...

UPDATED: Connection options for two points in same city

I think the SDSL will be cheaper than a private line. I'm not sure if DSL will work o the leased line either, due to the distance? which mean you may have to go with a r atm/isdn connection. I'm thinking the SDSL is your best option if available...

UPDATED: Connection options for two points in same city

Where I'm located (Detroit, Michigan) you can get a T1 for around $500-600, which isn't that much if you run your phone lines through it too. SDSL solutions run around $150 for 1Mbit

Not sure on the pricing/availability up there, but I've set up plenty of VPN's through SDSL and t1 lines

    Problems with pci card

Tried that, goes through the check for new hardware (takes about 5 minutes), then says it didn't find anything. I can try installing it anyway, but of course it doesn't work because windows doesn't know where to find it...

    Problems installing Network Card

Tried that, and it does. Also, the lights show up on the back of the card and on the router, so the hardware is seeing a connection, it's just that windows 95 doesn't seem to realize it has a network card attached to it...
