ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe 1T Issue To Be Fixed Soon!!?

Please people stop waiting for this magical bios fix. I am hearing the same "Taiwan is working on the issue" since December. That's almost 7 months! The Premium edition has the 1T issue fixed, so it's definately NOT a bios issue, but rather a hardware limitation. Otherwise they would just...

    a8n-sli "premium" edition

You can find more info at this topic on xs: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=64351 If you see at the middle of the topic the guy claims that he has reached 320 HTT on 1:1/1T memory. So it appears that Asus has fixed the 1T issue that the Deluxe model had. This means (as we...

    Mother Board PROBLEM???

On another topic like yours here, the guy had the same problem with you and the problem was he didn't connect the 4 pin 12V connector which is located on the top left of the mobo near the cpu. Check to make sure you have connected it.

    Sata HDD on an A8n-SLI

Some early bios (1003) on the A8N-SLI didn't recognise some Maxtor DM10 drives with certain firmwares. It's been solved since then both on the mobo's bios and on the firmware of new Maxtor drives. As for other brands I haven't heard any problems.

    Mother Board PROBLEM???

Tried reseating the gfx card? Maybe it doesn't make good contact on it's slot. Same goes for the memory sticks. Also try booting with only cpu, gfx card and one memory stick.

Disconnect everything and then reconnect just the cpu, memory and gfx card (and psu ofcourse). Make sure everything has the proper contact (especially the memory sticks and the gfx card). Also try booting with just one stick of memory. And try reseating the ez selector card (the little pcb...

ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe 1T Issue To Be Fixed Soon!!?

TCCD works best at 2.6 - 3.1 V. To be more precise TCCD memory ICs have a sweat spot that allows them to perform best at a particular voltage, in the above range, that is usually diffrent between sticks. It may be 2.7 for you and 2.9 for me so you must experiment. And anything higher than 3.1...

ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe 1T Issue To Be Fixed Soon!!?

Do not underestimate the Dark Side of the Force!!! I went from the Asus to the DFI and I didn't have any problems. Maybe it's because I have TCCD memory so I don't have to use the 5V jumper.

It depends on your needs. If you are just gaming and doing normal desktop work you are perfectly fine with 1GB. In fact your system will be faster and will be able to overclock more, as A64 have problems running tight timmings with 2GB of RAM. On the other hand if you will do heavy video/image...

ASUS A8N-SLI DeLuxe - Wich BIOS?

I was fine with my 1004 bios until I upgraded to 1010 a week ago. Since then my system has been very unstable. I rolled back to my good old 1004 and the problems continued. Tried clearing the CMOS and still nothing. So I went and bought the DFI that I have wanted for 3 months now but couldn't...

    Asus A8N-SLI Premium

It is nice to remove this sli card selector. It shouldn't be there from the beginning 5 months ago. People that already have a mobo with a selector card can leave without it but new buyers will like thi future. And they didn't implement this just for our convenience. The selector card is a point...

    Happy w/ ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe???

In A64 the real memory frequency is always a little lower than what you get by "Mem Freq = Divider * HTT" because the cpu does some roundings in the numbers. It is acutally: CPU Clock / [CPU Multi * Inversed Mem Dividier] The result of the number in the brackets must be upped to the next...

    Should I Flash Bios?

Yeah, that's why we shouldn't get out of our house, so that there is no chance we can get eaten by loose tigers and crocodilles. Yes I know there aren't any tigers or crocodilles around in the major cities but... what if they suddenly appear and you are out there all alone!!! Oh common this has...

    Should I Flash Bios?

Yes, I agree with ohnnyj, it's really difficult to mess something nowdays when flashing a board. And most of them support recovery from bad flashes (A8N-SLI indluded I think). And with companies releasing unstable/"incomplete" boards using the initial bios, it's absolutely recommended imho to...
