    Any recommendations on pc-based vcr software for recording from tv tuner?

    What tvtuner are you using? What problems have you had with powervcr2? I've used it with a Hauppauge tuner and not had any problems.

    The only limitation to recording directly to mpeg-4 right now is processor power. There isn't a fast enough processor yet to do 640x480 resolution real time mpeg-4 capture. Real time software Mpeg-2 has just recently become possible.
