He's talking about the Platinum, not the Elite Pro.
Yes the only difference is the X-Ram and the fact that the lights on the Fatality version of the internal drive is red instead of blue.
I've decided to come clean with her. But, I will do that during our financial counseling. My reasons for keeping the money away from her knowledge was for the best intentions. After I thought about it, I don't think she'll be too mad about it, but there will be some grief. Nothing that would...
Thanks for all the replies. Thanks GTaudiophile for that comprehensive reply. I will look into that. Seems well thought out and I appreciate your time typing that out.
She used to handle the bills and I thought nothing of them until I noticed that she was paying some bills with credit cards. That was the red flag that I needed to handle it. It was at that point that I realized the extent that it was affecting our cash flow.

Thanks for the response. I suppose if it doesn't run the way I like, $400+ is not too hard to come up with. I'd figure a 7800GT should fit the bill nicely. Can't see paying for a 7800GTX to be CPU limited or close to it.
AIW X800XLs are actually underclocked X800XT chips.
At least it was when I bought it. The AIW X800XL PCI-E is an X800XL chip, but as far as I know, the OEM BBA AGP versions were all X800XTs in sheep clothing.
System specs in sig. Kinda worried about playability with that combo. I do have the Video card OC'd to X800XT speeds without issue, but not sure if I need to run out and spend $400+ to get a new mobo/video (7800 GT) card now. I do game so I want to be able to play at good speeds with decent IQ.
Yup have 2 of them. One's a Plextor PX-716A and the other is a Memorex F-16. My old Pioneer slot load DVD drive bit the big one and decided to get another DVD burner to replace it. With the drives being so cheap, just made sense.
