Oh the good old days.
Manually setting the jumpers and dip switches on NICs and Soundcards to make sure they didn't overlap their IRQ and DMA addresses, setting up the network protocols and services manually <3
XP already made stuff easy, but Vista is absolutely brilliant. Driver support...
Looks like noone can figure this one out. I've made a screenshot of my Speedfan, are those voltages correct?
I know nothing about voltages so might as well post them. RAM runs at 1.8v, and everything is supposed to be running at stock speeds and stuff.

Right so, basically the system just randomly locks up while doing nothing special in Windows, I've also noticed occasional slowdowns when I'm playing some music and browsing the web at the same time.
As I wrote above, it's not triggered by anything in specific and just happens randomly. 4...
Glad to have been of assistance.
Let me know how that board works out, as a relative has also just asked me to put together a simple system for him; something cool and quiet.
Actually, pretty much the exact same thing happened to me 3 days ago.
Out of the blue, I got a slideshow for ~10 seconds while just browsing the web, after which the screen went black. Tried all the same things you tried; only difference for me was that sometimes I would get image for a few...
Yes to both of those questions. Doesn't matter where I plug my headphones in, nor does it matter whether I plug the HD Audio in or not.
I kinda doubt it's the board itself though, as it's driver dependant?
Vista driver plays back fine, Realtek one doesn't.
I'll just give you an indication from personal experience, but I'm not really an expert on motherboards; whenever I need one, I always look through some guides and reviews to make my choice.
About a year ago, I've built an HTPC, and I was also doubting whether to stick with the onboard card...
Right, so 2 days my old motherboard (Intel D975XBX2) fried itself somehow, so I went out and bought myself a new motherboard. Went for a cheap solution, as I don't need a lot of fancy gimmicks, and got the board mentioned in the topic title.
I'm running Vista Business x64, got the latest...
For the record, I play on 1680x1050 (or lower in case my PC can't cut it, like with Crysis).

6822 3DMarks, which is quite substantially lower than yours. Any chance you could link me your ORB result? :)
Bringing up my old topic for reference.
Since I started this, my graphics card gave up completely out of the blue. Luckily, my retailer is awesome, and despite it being out of their warranty, they replaced my 8800GTS 640 (G80) with a 9800GTX.
I decided to buy 3DMark Vantage and compare my...
Yeah, money isn't that big of a deal, but obviously I'm not gonna go for the absolute top of the line models, since they're still overpriced compared to their 'weaker' version, while the differences aren't record breaking.
I must admit I'm starting to lean towards the E8400 now (for the sheer...
Didn't realize the performance gap was that big; is it even worth the 170 Euros at stock speeds?
I haven't overclocked anything since my old P3 (866 to 10..something, before that I got a 486DX4-100 to a whopping 20MHz; good old days of jumper-set FSB!), but it seems to be rage lately for both...
